Using D3EE with mods:
Doom 3 will auto-load D3EE alongside your mods by default, but if a mod fails to detect D3EE you simply copy D3EE files from \base folder and paste them in that \mod folder, then just load the mod from the in-game menu and it should work.
You don't need to copy or paste any files for RoE and The Lost Mission, D3EE supports those by default.
For RoE use:
doom3.exe +set fs_game d3xp +set fs_game_base base
(or just launch it from desktop shortcut or steam game library)
For The Lost Mission use:
doom3.exe +set fs_game d3le +set fs_game_base d3xp
(or just use the batch file that comes with The Lost Mission)
(If you're using dhewm3 change doom3.exe to dhewm3.exe)
TL;DR just launch the games and mods like you would normally, if a mod does not detect D3EE you simply copy D3EE files from \base folder and paste them in that mod's folder, then load that mod like you would normally.
Aspect ratio changed but menu still says it's 4:3:
4:3 is just a menu text (hardcoded option so not possible to fix without breaking compatibility with mods) the selected format will be applied after you press apply, if you restart the game the menu might say it's still 4:3, but the aspect ratio shouldn't be affected by that, the changes only take effect after you press apply.
Tip:
Add zzzzz_ prefix to the name of D3EE files if the mod you're using overwrites D3EE changes or if you want to make sure D3EE changes are loaded after the changes of the mod you're using.
Uninstalling D3EE:
Go to Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a Program and find and uninstall Doom 3 Enhanced Edition, or double-click the uninstall.exe from your Doom 3 folder.
Alternatively you can just remove td_improvements and zpakXX files from \base, \d3le and \d3xp folder.

I don't know, there might be some method out there to load original game mods on BFG edition but I can't gaurantee it'll work, I only tested it on the original release (also on steam)
So I just reinstalled Doom 3 for this mod, but I am having trouble with it. Is there a way I can tell the mod is indeed running?
try "give all" in console then switch to chaingun and see if it is holding more than 60 ammo, if it is then the mod is working. I might update the menu logo in the next update to let people know the mod is working.

You forgot to add the performance PK4 for the Plasmagun, which was present in previous versions.
It wasn't though, I only uploaded it as a separate addon in the addons section, I didn't include it with the archive because it would get auto-loaded, rendering the glow change pointless. maybe I should do that for the next version and add a readme file to let people know how they can use it.
It would be great if you added the cacodemon monster in the final level as another addition to the enemies it would make the final battle more dynamic.

I had a problem where my chaingun still has 60 ammo count in it.
Then I ran the .exe with WinXP SP3 compatibility mode and that fixed it; now it's 120 as advertised.
Might be because you didn't use the ammo re-balance addon, that's where the 120 ammo count is.
can you turn off texture filtering?
I don't think so, you can either set it to Trilinear Filtering or Bilinear Filtering.
Any chance anyone has tried these mods on the ported version of Doom 3 for Quest/2?

I'm having a problem with the save files. It's not letting me overwrite previous saves, so I have to make a new save file every time I wanna save the game and go back to delete the old ones I don't need. It's annoying and idk why it's doing that. :(

Great mod but every time I try to play game it asks me to type in the cd key even though I do it everytime I launch the game. Can someone tell me how to fix it?
Maybe your Doom 3 folder is set to "read only", change it and try running the game as admin then see if it fixes it.

it seems there is an issue when installing the setup it doesn't show up in teh main location, each time i run the setup file.

Second step of install window should give you the option to change install location (when you press next after you first load it up) point it to your Doom 3 folder and there you go.
The Lost Mission crashes upon boot up in both Doom 3 and dhewm3.
Do you get any blue window or error or crashlog? seems to work fine here, I need one of those to see what's causing it for you.
A blue window, I did use the retail version of the original Doom 3

I am not able to get the installer to work. I'm using the vanilla Steam version. I run the installer, it correctly identifies my Steam path and seems to install, but when I launch the game I see no difference. Do I have to launch a different .exe or something? I am looking for widescreen options and see none.
I fixed my issue. I just had the installer extract itself to my desktop and then manually copied the contents to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Doom 3. Seems to be working now
My bad, I must have accidentally forgot to add "Steam" before "steamapps", will be fixed in the next version.

Having an issue where it D3EE will fail loading a new game or previous save. I hit new game, menue fades to loading screen, loading bar gets 30% through, then fade back to menue. Any idea what this could be?
Do you have any other mods loaded with D3EE? if not try verifying game cache from steam or re-install the game, if that doesn't work try opening console (CTRL+ALT+Tilde) to see if any errors show up there after loading fails and post 'em here so we can see whats going on.
Im also running Doom 3 Redux, coppied the extracted files into the redux mod folder. Managed to get the whole thing working. there were A LOT of errors in the console. still managed to load after a little bit.
Now theres only some weird bright blue blood splatter decals happening. not sure how to sort that one. Thanks for the help!
The mod description says its for the expansion "the lost mission" from the BFG Edition so i guess it runs in the bfg edition...?
i mean, i want to FIX the bfg edition so i can play doom3, doom 3 resurrection of evil and lost mission in vanilla doom 3 dark shadow engine.
So... that's it? im thinking in buying the game again so i can play all the three games with this mod. Waiting for your answer, pretty awesome if its intended as i explained.

It seems the text language options isn't working for me? I set it to Spanish in the options menu and after restarting it keeps showing everything in English. I manually change the language to Spanish in the language Steam's setting but the text in-game shows text like #str_666603 and nothing else.
Yeah, language translations are incomplete for now, will hopefully be finished in future versions if we find people who are willing to help with that.
I was hoping it got merged with other language versions. I can download a Polish version separately, but I think it changes more than just text and audio and actually overwrites crucial files and doesn't work properly
I wish i had the time to learn all the doom 3 mod and stuff...
i only ask for 1 mod that makes this: to reduce the shotgun spread ratio to half & add more enemies randomly and in hard expected positions everytime you load a game, if possible.
That's it, that would fix doom 3 perfectly, same for ROE and LM classics.
