A new update which rebalances Russia and Scotland, independence disaster and population malus with merc bonus for colonial nations, HRE army rebalance, and other stuff. This may be usable in later versions technically but was developed under 1.28.3. Full changelog below
Brave New Worlds 1.11 update
(+) "Fall of Ming" bookmark restored.
(+) Manchu Ideas now increase Mandate of Heaven for the Emperor of China, much like Chinese ideas.
(+) Added Inca and Aztecs as "interesting nations" to play during 1492 bookmark.
NY(+) Added more technology icons (I still don't know what makes a certain tech to use a certain icon, and general view is f*cked)
(+) Increased Tax value for several province groups in Random New World mode, and adjusted native Size, Combat and Hostility.
(*) Colors of Government Reforms changed, so that none is blue.
(+) Scottish national ideas buff so that they resist (historically) much longer against the goddamned English.
(*+) Scots can raise banners.
(*-) Great Britain cannot raise banners. (This is relevant due to the presence of Scottish banners.)
(*-) Muslims have more problems (negative modifier) converting provinces from other Muslim religion groups.
(+) Qara Qoyunlu national ideas buff.
(*-) Forming Russia is somewhat harder due to need of diplo points and a year of income (mostly because the AI derps when playing as Russia).
(*+) Later Moscovy ideas buffed including Siberian Frontier so it does not need to form Russia as much.
(*+) Ottoman ideas buffed again, to reduce Agressive Expansion penalties.
(+-) Germanic Roman Empire starts two reforms by removing manpower and maximum land army from members and giving it to Emperor. Then this is partially compensated.
NATIVES
(*) Huaca religions rebels were too common, and very powerful vs metal-less peoples. (rebels don't get the "primitive" or "no iron weapons" maluses)
(*-) They have been nerfed to be leaderless.
(**) Army ratio changed to have less cavalry and artillery.
(*+) In exchange they have 10% more Morale.
COLONIES
(+-) Added "Colonial undevelopment" malus to Colonial nations, which halves the size of their land armies.
NY(+-) Add New World Plague disaster for American Native nations (also balances the colonial undevelopment).
(+-) Added the Aspirations for Independence disaster. Colonial possessions which have the Global Trade institution will radically increase their desire for self-government during the Age of Revolution.
(**) This allows lategame in the new world to be more dynamic, as nations actually struggle to break free from their colonial overlords, instead of remaining mosly passive and subservient until the very end.
GRAPHICAL
(*) English map color changed.
(*) British map color changed.
(*) Moscovy map color changed (Visible better vs Great Horde).
(*) Russia map color changed (Visible better vs Ottomans).
(*) Denmark color changed since it was too close to other regional colors.
Next version (maybe, if ever):
- Northern technology, level 2, but with stronger low-tech unit types than europeans (Ireland, Scotland)
- Plague depopulation disaster for new world natives (timed).
- "High American Ascension" harder but less expensive by default.
- High American unit rebalance with more intermediate types (semi-nerf to the "plateau")
- Other, but harder/rarer ways to get High American (events, vision quest, religious reforms)
- Panslavism "cultural union" decision for Slavic nations.
- More chaff.
- Less content.
- I don't remember.
Also, I intend to add the historical Korean kingdoms as cores...
