The aim of this group is to create universal de-facto standard taiidani race for the Homeworld 2.
This includes:
- Unique stats and research tree which are in harmony with HW2;
- HW1 model remodelling to the HW2 level.
Now thinking about the Support Frigate (which I'm guessing you'll make the last because of the different chassis), the project will have single fighters and bombers, not squadrons, is it correct?
Well, I don't include supfrig anywhere. It's just the Sentinel who wants to make original line )
Personally I want non-canonical but needful in HW2 salvage frigate ))
Well the situation is obviously like this:
It's either:
-Fighters in squadrons in the HW2 style. But no Support Frigate, at least not as we know it with external docking, because you can't latch-dock a whole squadron and make it look good at the same time.
-Single fighters. More micromanagement, dead fighters won't get automatic replacements. But then the Support Frigate can work perfectly.
In my opinion it's more a question of the intended gameplay style. Do you want to recreate the HW1 in HW2 completely with its gameplay (single fighters)? Or this is not a factor and you rather want to have a HW1 race in HW2 (squadrons) more than an improved and upgraded HW1 in better engine?
Fantastic work, really excellent, i just have two thing to point out in both frigs, the engines section and that top vent are to square, just a few more polys there and they would look great.
I googled Taiidan Ion Frigate. This was the fourth picture google shown me.
Now I'm looking at it and thinking, this is from the Taiidani project for sure, but was it me who took the screenshot? I remember I took the other one, but not this one. The guy chose a good angle.
So I opened it and surprise, it was mine.
Damn it, it's just gorgeous!..
Thank you very much, both of you, D'Sent & Pouk!
I might have posted it right into the main project site, but you surely want to write your own commentary to it.
Well, tnx for such honor ) My commentary would be in the news post hours later. )
Thanks )
Absolutely awesome, yes.
Now needs another two frigates. Shall start right now.

I don't care much about balance and squadrins, I just make ships.)
Anyway, DFG and Support, right now exactly DFG, 'cause Sup has some problems.

It was already told here:

Frigate part
Hmm, ok. It seems you're decided.
(picture updated, the logo said HW instead of HW2)

Guess, now it's a bit too late to remark )) They all (TAF, TICF, TDFF) use the same chassis, just nose is changed. I think, anyway it's good.
