I think MorrowindSky asked me about modding battle dialog. It can be done, yes, by editing with PROUD CLOD. You can easily edit existing dialog, or copy and paste AI routines which include dialog. Easiest method would be to add a 'placeholder' attack, then write a counter script that activates it on certain conditions. Simply name the attack to have the NPC 'speak'.

This is basically how in-battle dialog works. Elena, for instance, has a null attack called "Ow! That hurts!" that comes into play when she 'dies' and removes her from battle.
