It’s all here. Every texture (HL2, EP1, EP2 & Lost Coast) has been replaced, up-scaled or redone.

I have decided to move on from this project for now. I've been modding HL2 for over two years straight and playing nothing else. I'll be working on going through the pack one texture at a time and try to bring it back to vanilla (HD). But this will be relatively slow and I don't see any updates for a while. Till then.

Airboat, Buggy, Apc, Helicopter, Combine wall-the wall that looks like teeth and eats things,Thumpers and APC tank are among notible changes. Lots of other updates.

Tone of updates. Fixed the blood. Metro cops are done. Minimal playtesting so there may be issues.

Thanks again to Slip_Union with direction for the improved ammo crates. Updates: The eyes on the combine go dark after death like the metro cops. Fixed the helmet on the shotgunner, now sure how that happened. Lots of updates. Again, not fully playtested but should be fine.

Thanks again to Slip_Union with help on this major update. Loads of small tweeks. Unfortunately there are so many updates, it has not been fully play tested. It would take too long to do so. I don’t foresee any problems but If you see one, post a picture and the map name in the comments.

Crane was updated and an assorment of other items.

Reworked the combine. Punched up the colors on the regular grunt and shotgunner. Added the skull for all shotgunners. Tightened up the Nova patches and minor adjustment to the elite. Plus other changes here and there.

It was put together from: Cinematic mod, HD overhaul, vanilla re-mastered 3.1, Munabcho INC and various others that I’ve lost track where I got them from. I’ve also edited or completely remade about 800 textures.
I did NOT haphazardly just throw all this together and hope for the best. I started with the main files from the game and only replaced those files.
Any files that were made special, like the cinematic textures were removed as those named files don’t exist in the game. I used them elsewhere that I thought they would fit. I also went through every VMT to try and make sure all the settings are correct.
Decals and overlay ARE part of this pack as well as the FF folder. I also made half dozen or so new FF style overlays and edited a few of FF’s overlays. I tried my best to not have too much repetition in textures. I used a lot of FF style overlays on 90% of the textures to enhance detail.
This should not interfere with other texture packs. The game loads the custom file in alphabetical order. So this “z” pack should load last. So you favorite barrels “B” texture pack will load and the barrels in this will not.
There are a few problems here and there. I’m not a maper but from what I can tell, in some instances the game is expecting to work with a specific size (512x512) texture. As these are HD, a lot of the textures are 2048x2048 while some are bigger. So you might see the exact same texture next to itself, one looks fine while the other does not. Also there are a few misaligned textures and where two textures sit side by side, one is a tad darker than the other. These are issues in vanilla HL2 maps themselves. Probably items addressed in HL2 update. Any issues take a picture and PM me and I’ll try to address it.
These can be used in preexisting mods and for the most part will work. The pack was made to fit vanilla half life and not mods.

this is actually the best texture mod ive ever used and this probably wont be replaced anytime soon
Tried using this with entropy zero 2 but certain wall and floor textures are super shiny until I use nigh vision then they I can see them ok. would love to use this pack on it.
Point your crosshair at the texture and type 'mat_crosshair' in the console. This will tell us what texture it is. If I get time I'll take a look at it.
countless textures have a gloss to them to the point you cant see them. Also causes the game to crash so currently looking for something to replace this pack. ive used this pack with no problems for regular half life 2
HL2 is really what the pack is for. It works in most mods. Not a fan of Entropy so, I can say as to why it's an issue.
