This addon is another weapon upgrade for Project Brutality! What this does is you can now attach a mini grenade launcher to the bottom of your rifle! Press your "Weapon Duals" button and it switches from grenades back to standard ammo! NOW featuring the ability to keep dual fire! When the grenade launcher is active, just press normal fire to launch and explode, press alt fire (zoom) for it to bounce for a while and then explode. Load after Project Brutality and enjoy the grenade convenience if you've run short on hand tossing ones!
I was recently thinking why there's no under barrel grenade launcher in PB. Thanks for this great addition to the PD arsenal, might I suggest to give this attachment to the carbine instead of the rifle as it is the 'tactical weapon' of this mod and is not normally duel wielded. Besides the carbine having the under barrel grenade launcher would make more sense.Also why no under barrel shotgun.
theres the option to dual wield the carbines in settings if wanted though also but i'll look into it :) and the under barrel shotgun is a little off setting.
I know theres a option to duel wield carbine.I just don't see the point of it as we can duel wield rifles. The carbine should do something different instead of being the lame version of the rifle which it does and the UGL would honestly make the carbine much better as a stand alone weapon.
the dual wield rifles is almost as powerful as one carbines fire rate normally is, and dual carbines rate is better than the minigun and other fast firing weapons in general rate wise, the rifle just needs an extra oomph as of dual carbines are rediculously fast and poweful which i like, and having a grenade thats better than the hand tossed ones is convenient for some situations, and like ive said i will make future mutators if possible, and i just like the PB arsenal the way it is :) i know others have their opinions which is fine! but as of also real life statistics there are an abundance of underbarrel launchers for assault rifles, and just will keep this first upload as is until stated otherwise like said before, i will do more in the future if i can :)

What kind of ammo does it use? Does it say your ammo count when equipped? Also is this an actual upgrade you have to find or is it automatically equipped? I know I should just test and see for myself but I won't have a chance to try for a few days sadly, just curious.

It's an upgrade much like the Drum magazine, Triple Minigun, LMG, etc. It uses standard HE grenades.

1) an award, because finally, an addon that isn't a "simple" sprite or sound replacement
2) to be in Project Brutality.

If you can do the LMG and also tweak the reload, so that it seems like you're reloading a shotgun but with 40mm grenade rounds, you will impress me a lot.
so mix the reload for the shotgun with the SGR and make it all based by the LMG? ;P
More like, make the grenade launcher available for the LMG and DMR.
At the same time, kinda mix a 40mm grenade launcher attachment with a shotgun, or a Six 12. I think you understand what I mean?
so a whole grenade attatchment arsenal (that is of course balanced and not for ALL weapons)? hmm...i can try sure thing!

Can this upgrade spawn sooner than the others, since this upgrade while awesome is not overpowered or game-breaking?
all upgrades are random so i cant control it :)

Since the pickup sprite acc. looks to be based on the M203, may I suggest having the underbarrel resemble more like the M203 in the reload animation? Underbarrel currently looks like a pistol as is. :p

this pick-up replaces some backpacks like all other upgrades and the sentry gun? i can't find one :(
It's random. Like all other upgrades, it randomly replaces Combat Backpack if there are preplaced backpack in a level.
Some maps/megawad don't have backpack (at the very least, not early on) so be warned.

I can't make it work. I'm loading it after the PB v2.03 file in ZDL and it's not changing anything, the third fire is still the dual wield. Any idea what i'm doing wrong?

good addition but i think it needs a nerf like 50% less damage than normal grenade launcher and also when i change modes the ammo doesnt change
the ammo is the same as the other lauchers so the damage factor shouldnt be changed :) and do you mean display wise on an HUD?
The underbarrel attachment lacks the ability to use frag grenades; this is intentional. Besides, being able to switch between shooting grenades and sniping your enemies is invaluable.
unfortunately yes, right now it can only shoot he grenades, that's because we would need a third mouse button to make it switch between types, however attaching actions to double click events could solve the problem, maybe the barge can implement this in the future
You wouldnt need a third button, you could just cycle through alike the Commander SG i made!
LMG already was the broken, but nobody cares.
Also yeah, the gun that let's you in one click switch between two weapons is much worse solution, than having a two guns, switching between which takes half of a ****** eternity.
This is the DMR! and for the weapon now, its fixed to where to can have either the grenades, normal dual rifles, or the normal rifle itself. Also i dont think switching takes that long ;)
Does this work in Brutal Doom? Because it looks super cool, and I want to try it, but I don't want to mess up the WADs I already have...
