i thought those two would be enough? is there anything else you changed in the binoc.ltx apart from that one change in numbers on line "vis_frame_speed"? please don't release mods that are already on Anomalies' add-on page. if your mod does the excat same thing as the mods i linked above i'd ask that you consider removing yours for the sake of not clogging up the add-on section any more than it needs to be.
Selling the standard functionality as a new feature is weird to say the least (fraudulent if i meant any harm). there is nothing new in this w_binoc.ltx. quite contrary i'd say the author took an already pre-modified file and started working from there, maybe for compatability reasons.
funnily enough there are sounds referenced which i would assume are *also* used in DA 0.98b. namely:
No, it does not. I can't hear any beeps. I'm used to play SHoC vanilla so the binocs there always tracked through bushes without any mods to fix, it was an engine thing.
there are no additonal lines in the binoc.ltx that would teach or un-teach the engine said feature of "not tracking" through bushes. i remain of the opinion it is a vanilla feature. to actually change that behaviour one would have to edit the material files, i think. this might also be the reason why you find it tracking through bushes in SHoC, my guess is the material files there allow for the binocs to track through bushes. and as you have just confirmed this file is poorly optimized for Anomaly. maybe the missing sounds for lock-on beeps are a feature, too? i wonder why the author didn't make a point of advertizing that aswell. on that note "cannot" would imply it actually should. whereas "doesn't" would imply an intentional change. but that's semantics, i guess.
Absolutely all mods that add automatic target capture when using binoculars have a problem when the binoculars are hanging in the air, below the hands and upside down. How do I fix this?
Can you make the square outline box a centered dot instead?

This one doesn't track through bushes. This is new feature no?

edit: does this modification of the binocs actually play the lock-on beeps correctly?

I think those two mods should be removed and then this mod should be the only one, it is superior to theirs.
i disagree. the change to make the tracking frames re-appear are miniscule. there is no "superiority" to be claimed by either of those mods, imho.
Well, the other mod is now unsupported, so we only have this one left.
there are already enough addons about this
