I don't know which one I like more, I love the siren version but it is not realistic if you are far from a city, the other version I like less but it is more realistic, which one do you like more in the game?

Tbh i am kind of an undecisive person so i can already see myself jumping from one to the other.

Or maybe i´ll just toss a coin lol

I take it then that there's no way to make both apply? Sirens play in certain zones (Cities, faction bases like Rostov and Army Warehouses) while it plays the static version elsewhere?

nice to have options ... would be cool if Psy-Storms and Emissions had more varied patterns rather than all being the same length and intensity

if you're looking for more ideas have a look at a FO4 mod called "NAC X Weathers" ... that had some dust, fire & rad storms, and acid rain etc that might be cool in the zone

I agree with you. Even thou Particle addons like CinematicVFX did an astonishing job giving Emissions a better look they are still pretty linear Events.

Oh yea i used that one also and i really liked it! By the way Acid rain for Anomaly completely forgot it in my current Setup.

Thnx for reminding me brother!

Hey Eric, can you try looking into my case here?
I'm using NPCs die in emissions by Demonized(www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-anomaly/addons/npc-die-in-emissions-for-real) and it apparently messes with the surgemanager.script, the one that define the sounds used.
I checked it and I don't know how the **** it's playing sounds that are pathed in the blowout folder but mine is EMPTY, except from the "cut" folder with the crows sounds.
Can you look into it? Make it compatible or something? I can't figure out what is going on.

Sure i´ll have a look partner
l
*Edit: I´ll need to contact the Author it seems his approach to Emissions is a Complete Overhaul in itself.

Remember that this Addon was intended/recommended to be used with GAMMA which already has NPC´s Die in Emissions and it works flawlessly
BUT if you have a Custom Load Order there will always be files that conflict with each other. That´s why MO2 can only show you those conflicts and overwrite files via loadorder.. but solving them is only possible if you use Winmerge or if you can write code yourself.

No no don´t give up! Karlack just answered me and solved our incompability by suggesting to load his addon after mine.

As soon as Mr.Demonized replies we will have a solution for you also. I am sure of it!

I'm at the site all the time. I have my eyeballs open all the time. Good luck. Btw, I still don't know where the **** are the sound files that play during a surge. It's the biggest mistery of the century, they are pathed to that folder and it's ******* empty

No the visuals also have changed with the Optional third Folder. You could say they are more "vicious" now.
Of course i only take credit for my own work.

There was a time where i could not appreciate this community this much and i learned that it should not matter how someone talks to you.

What matters is making the most out of our time and that´s all.

I'll consider the siren sound as a memory of a distant past, some sort of a PTSD in history.

It was frigging amazing, dowloading at once.

I never liked the wacky two-tone siren that sounds like an 70´s cop car siren.
The old distant air-raid brings up a nostalgic horror that is kinda overused ofc but still in the right setting with the right effects it always will be pure terror imo.

Thank you for your feedback

Thank you for your ideas and also for your feedback! Will definetly mention it to modders i know. Controllers are the result of experiments on people and they are made in the Laboratories due to Lore but it´s still a nice idea to have for other mutants!

Try opening your gamedata folder and type on the top right "psi_storm_siren" if there are multiple results for your search there is another addon that causes conflict. you could replace all of those with the .ogg file in my addon. but first back them all up to not lose your setup integrity.

JSGME doe not provide as much info about conflicts as MO2 i used it also before i started using Mo2.
Therefore it is hard to say which other files conflict with my addon.

I am most definitely braindead and I have been unsuccessful with installing this mod. First I followed your steps above and moved the gamedata from the siren pack and then the enhanced visuals pack. I hopped into the game and tried it out but the sfx and vfx were all stock. Followed the same instructions being careful to not f*ck anything up but sadly had the same outcome. I then tried working through mo2 installing it on top of gamma but the files were not recognized regardless of changes in the filetree. I ignored the unrecognized setup message and activated the mod hoping it would magically work out but obviously it didn't. I looked around for possible fixes but (not to flatter you) your mod is very good and I couldn't find anything on a problem like mine mostly sifting through positive comments or select niche problems that don't relate. This mod looks very good and it works for many people so readers don't take this as the expectation but as the outlier. I could very easily be messing everything up but I just don't know enough to find out which. This mod is great and so are your other sound reworks. Thanks for the hard work m8!

Same thing is happening to me, with the newest GAMMA update. My case is the exact same as yours. Maybe is broken? Who knows, but the mod looks extremely promising.

Is there any way to lower the volume of the sounds played during the psi-emissions? This is holy **** levels of loud and if I lower the actual settings volumes, everything else will be way too quiet
