This is a texture pack to play S.T.A.L.K.E.R Call of Chernobyl with high fps on you low end pc or at least play this game on you old and very weak low end pc. It contains 1397 textures that have been scaled down, mostly in 25% of their original size to improve performance

Bruh my pc is so **** that i play in dx8 but this is a whole new level
Once i managed to run stalker shoc in my low end pc AMD duron 1,2ghz and 512mb of ram at 7~15fps hehe, stalker was looking like minecraft that day XD, and Sorry about my english, i'm not using Google Translate this time
Last time I tried to run the game at 640x360 with the Borderless Gaming program. It ran much better and almost maintaining 60fps in vanilla SoC.
once i run the game on a window of 320x240, the fps raised a lot, but it's unplayable because of screen size, i recommend at most 640x480 or 640x360
how do you play on 640x480? i can play only on 800x600
I played the first Stalker back when it came out first with a Nvidia 8300GS (which you can't find on the internet because its OEM) and then I "upgraded" to an Asus 8400 GS so I could kinda play the game on medium to high settings xDDD

I could have used your mod back in the day xD But really the game is well playable with a 8400GS so if there is a poor soul out there with an even weaker pc by all means upgrade to something... anything. Even a GT630 will do wonders and thats like 10$ on ebay.
Hehe that is true, but here in Brazil things are a bit hard, 1 dollar is worth 4 reais, then 10 dollars are 40 reais, and the people here try everything to not need to spend money hehehe, but really, a 10$ videocard is cheap and helps a lot
Yes its very hard in brazil to afford electronic devices. Call of Chernobyl needs a bit stronger hardware as well.
With a mid range card of the 200 or 400 series it should play well. A mate of mine from germany played all up to 2015 with a GTX 285 and it worked for Arma2 and other games.
So if 200 and 400 series are more affordable in Brazil try getting one of these. Many games also newer when they're not graphical benchmarks will run well with these.
Brazil is very lucky, here in Argentina one dollar always stands around 34 to 40 pesos

well ebay is expensive for us,coz the delivery would cost double of that, as i m not in USA or UK etc.also i have a laptop cant afford a pc and am not allowed to either
The GTX285 is a bit expensive , about 150$ (600 reais), i can buy a used pc with that money hehe :v , in fact my pc cost about 200$ (800 reais) and it's a Pentium CPU g2030 3,0ghz , 4gb of ram , Intel hd Graphics 2500, a 500w generic power supply and a barracuda seagate of 500gb, runs the stalkes relatively well actually
Hm it might actually be better to buy a flight ticket, travel to mexico and buy a 1050ti there for 150$ and then smuggle it over to Brazil xD
A GTX 260 is also still a huge upgrade compared to the 8400GS and would definitely be enough to play any Stalker well on high settings.
Actually, i can buy cheap things near here, in Paraguay, I live less than 60 kilometers from Iguaçú Falls :v but things are very hard now, that's why i haven't bought a videocard yet

Mind sharing your PC spec and the performance boost you get before and after compressing the textures? My laptop is total garbage for CoC and most people definition of 'weak PC' is actually faster than mine (Intel Celeron N3050 1.56 Ghz and Generic Intel Graphics)
Sure,my pc specs are Pentium CPU g2030 3,0ghz, 4gb of ram DDR3 1333mhz, Intel HD graphics 2500, a 500w generic Power suply and a 500gb barracuda Seagate, actualy runs CoC Very well without this addon :v, buta i use It anyway Just to play without lag and/or framedrops hehe, but, the performance boost is visible for sure :)

no, it's for all textures except for the _bumps and the very small textures, and i don't know if this will work for 1.5 , i made this for the 1.4.12 / 1.4.22, i have to download the 1.5 and test if this will work if not , i have to do this pack again XD

Graphycally or literally ?, well, this addon was made for lower the graphics a lot, but If you are saying that you game crashed or something like that Just delete the folders , you should have made backups for Prevent things like this, but Sorry anyway, If you game crashed

Textures don't affect performance as much as you think. It's way better to try lowering resolution first. Something like 640x360 works but only with Borderless Gaming since fullscreen is buggy with it. Plus it's widescreen.
