I present you an ambient/mindf@$k Doom music pack for Doom 1 and 2. General idea was to take some of the darkest songs, and put them together while editing in various disturbing sounds to increase atmosphere. This pack is the best used with other mods listed in description below.
Installation: Either put wad file in skins folder, drag and drop on gzdoom.exe (or
whatever port you are using), use zdl, or edit autoload section of your zdoom/gzdoom
ini file. Use Slade to listen to songs without launching game.

I absolutely love these kind of soundtracks for doom. Most of those songs I have in my personal playlist for playing with Doom, Love them :). If your ever interested I have some other song ideas.
Like for Epic 2 and Scythe 2 I use (Lapis Niger - Inside the Black Pearl) to have the really dark horror Egyptian feel. For some extra suspense I use the RE3 Nemesis lurking theme. Just a few examples.

I like to use this with Operation: Inhuman mod
gives that sorta gritty and creepy feel like every time I hear footsteps I always turn around and 9 times out of 10 I'm holding the RPG-7 soooo... you can guess the results

As a fellow designer of audio and music tracks, I must say that this does suck balls, good sir.
Please try again, with some actual 'dark and creepy' music, rather than old ps1 music hashes with old war tapes played over them and some 'spooky scary halloween montage' sound effects in the background.

I know that sounds like a **** comment, but I'm just saying I wish to see your work. After all, there aren't too many "creepy" ambient music mods for Doom.

Thanks! I don't think I will, because I used all my ideas in this one, and general feedback is mixed. Besides you and few others that like it, it gets low scores. To each their own I guess :P
Try some Nordvargr, Deathprod, Girnu Giesmes, or even Biosphere (this one's less gloomy). Also try Black Lung's Full Spectrum Dominance album. It's not all ambient but there's some pretty dark drones in there.

this is the best soundtrack I have ever used for DOOM. I don't scare easily as i watch tons of supernatural horror movies but this soundrtrack makes me feel terror. I love it
