All outfits with integrated helmets are now 'unintegrated', allowing to mix-and-match. Updated for 1.5.2. Original mod by Vintar0.
Acknowledgement:
This mod is an edited version of Separated Helmets Outfits Backpacks 1.1.4 by Vintar0.
The icons included in this mod are made by him.
I have asked permisson to upload this update, but have yet to recieve an answer. However, he left this acknowledgement on his modpage:
If you would like to use any of this addon as part of a separate overhaul, feel free to do so. I created this for my own enjoyment, and
figured you guys might also like it as an option. However, I will fix any bugs/balance issues you all bring to my attention. Enjoy!
If at any time he asks me to take down the mod, I will do so as soon as I see the message.
What this mod:
Most high-tier armor in Anomaly comes with an integrated helmet. Sometimes you might want a different helmet to go with your suit.
This mod separates the helmet and outfit for radsuits, exoskeletons, the wastelander suit, nbcs, nosorogs, sevas and SSP-99s.
The relevant outfits have had their stats, weight and cost adjusted for the removal of the helmet.
Stalkers who wear these suits now drop appropriate helmets on death, along with their suits.
Edited inventory icons by Vintar0.
The Screen helmet has had it's weight reduced from 6 kg to 3.6 kg, mostly because the original author Vintar0 made this change, and because removing it from it's paired outfits caused too large a weight reduction for them, skewing game balance.
Vintar0's text descriptions for the armor pieces have been left as-is, they are fine AFAIK.
Why this mod:
1: I play with Outfit Parts and Repair Overhaul, and want to be able to repair my helmet separately from my outfit.
2: I looked over the protection values of some high-tier armor (Almost every game I play for more than a few months end up with a multi-page excel sheet) and noticed some outfits (notably the Duty PS5-9Md PATHFINDER suit and the Mercenary ACE scientific suit) had no head protection despite the inclusion of a screen helmet which DO have that protection, a separate helmet would fix that.
3: I had to abandon my favourite helmet when I graduated from n00b-suits and it still haunts me to this day.
Installation:
Without MO2 (not recommended):
1: Extract files from archive.
2: Drop Gamedata folder in your S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly directory.
3: Say yes to merge folders.
With MO2:
1: Click "Install a mod from an archive".
2: Choose "Separated_Helmets_and_Outfits_for_1_5_2".
3: Check for conflicts.
Bugs:
Bug:
If installed on an existing save, some outfits in your inventory and stashes will retain their helmet as a 'part'.
Fix:
1: Pick up any replacement part (except helmet) and use a technician's vice to change out the part.
2: Quicksave and reload to make the change stick.
Note: If you have OPO and use a repair item (glue, sewing kit, etc) to repair the suit between step 1 and 2, the helmet 'part' will come back and you must start over, wasting resources in the process. Step 2 is important.
Bug:
You made a new game and the armours still have helmets as a 'part', even though a separate helmet can be worn with the armour.
Fix:
Use this patch from lonerzoner: COMPLETE Helmet Removal DLTX. It should work as a universal patch for this sort of problem, but you will need the modded exe's for it to work.
Expected FAQ:
Q: Can you also let exo's use backpacks?
A: No. There's too many variables and the exo's will either become too weak or too strong whichever ones i pick.
Q: Can you make a patch for [insert mod here]?
A: No. I only patch for mods I use, and none of them conflict with this one.
Q: Can you add back the HD icons from 1.1.4?
A: Don't know, haven't tried them. They are also by another creator who hasn't posted permissions on the 1.1.4 modpage, so I'm hesitant to include them here. You can download 1.1.4, extract the icons you want and overwrite the old ones. Might work.
This addon was reuploaded 11/9-2023 because the "Link mods, games, groups" section needed updating, but the search bar only appears during addon creation, not addon editing.

Based. I'll use this
make a patch for exoseva Moddb.com
What exactly needs to be patched?
If you equip an exoskeleton and an SSP-99 screen helmet you essentially have an exoseva.
The only thing you wouldn't get with this mod would be the 3rd-person model, the separate upgrade tree and the ability to find 'looted' exosuits.
I guess what I'm saying is, you could use "Exoseva CBSE outfits" OR "Separated Helmets and Outfits" to get roughly the same effect.
I understand this, apparently I meant that it is worth making patched exosev icons so that they do not have an image of helmets on them. thanks for the clarification
Не совместим с другими иконками ксожалению
"Not compatible with other icons unfortunately"
Vintar0's original mod has HD icons you can use, that's about as far as I can figure.
EDIT: checked the original files, the original mod doesn't include any HD icons. There are no patches either that I can see, so I'm out of my depth on this one.

what's the differences between this mod and the original?
1: Separates helmets and suits only, Exoskeletons and nosorogs can't use backpacks. Proto-exos' are entirely vanilla.
2: works natively on 1.5.2 (you won't believe the text salad I had to deal with, entire missing blocks of text needed outright replacing with stuff from the 1.5.2 vanilla files).
3: Cost, weight and protection values recalculated from 1.5.2 vanilla values (not really a change as such, but the values are different from 1.5.1).
would it be possible to get a patch for Dux's Innumerable Character Kit? it works fine if you let **** overwrite this mod, but you lose out on separate helms on enemy death loot.
rus translate pls)
Powered Exoskeletons patch maybe?
It's natively compatible with the one I'm using (https://github.com/ahuyn/anomaly-exo), are you using a different one?
You were right, I was using the old one. Didn't know that I can get fresh one on github, thanks.
There is a small error, the outfits still have the helmets in their parts. I'll probably make a patch for it.
Did you start a new game or install it on an existing save?
On a new game. The mod seems to be working fine (suits appear helmetless, with right stats,
BUT the helmets still exist in the outfits replacement parts.
(So for example if you dissasemble it, you get a bonus helmet).
There is a parts.ltx file if i remember right in configs, which needs to be updated for each helmeted outfit to not have the helmet in its replacement parts. I might do it after i check how is it to finally play without a constant helmet always on :)
This is... very strange. I have specifically checked all armors I could find at vendors for the helmet 'part' and found them all removed.
Is it possible you're running a mod that overwrites "parts.ltx"? Because there are no helmets left in the part-list for the armors that this mod edits.
That said, thank you for the DLTX-file. I'll link it in the description as a patch for people who experience this bug.
Indeed. I also checked your parts.ltx there were no helmets there. But on each new game, i had the scientist suit without helmets, and sevas with. Might have been a different mod changing the parts.ltx, the thing is i don't remember any of them changing such a thing as the scientist's helmet for example. Thought that a DLTX patch is a faster appoach than searching for a conflict not appearing as such.
Here you go

Hello, a good addon, but I found a problem with crashes during sleep and realized that it crashes because of costumes that originally did not have helmets

You have a script in a mod which has a name that ends in "...aly - extended edition" that's trying to do something.
Can you tell me which mod that is so I can take a look?

I see that parts.ltx from bas conflicts with this mod's one, what can i do?
There's two things you can do:
1: Use Winmerge or Notepad++ to compare the two parts.ltx files and edit one of them to make your own patch.
2: If you have the modded exes you can go to:
Moddb.com
for a dltx patch that you load after BaS.
the original mod removed backpacks as well any chance of that happening?
Any way to dispose of "new" icons? Conflicts with Cr3pis Icons, suits w/ helmets icons get bugged out.
