Changelog
1.0.2 — 2017-09-29
- Updated file encoding; no difference in gameplay
1.0.1 — 2017-09-16
- Psy-quests and psy-effects are no longer present for Monolith and zombie characters
For the two unfortunate souls who downloaded the mod only minutes after its release - the machines were accidentally disabled while story mode was enabled. It should be fixed now. :D
That's hilarious :))))
Yeah. I messed up the scripting.
New game required?
I think so. The only thing this mod changes is the script used when selecting a faction and starting a game, so I doubt it'll affect any existing games.
Damn, I missed "easy story mode." :D
Yep, it was fun.
What is the point of the scorchers being on?
Is it always story mode then?
No, this just puts the danger of the psy-effects back in the game, and at the same time the story quests simply aren't there, which keeps the freeplay feeling. It's pretty much like in DoctorX's Questlines, which I admit inspired this addon.
Also, this should work for any character that isn't part of the Monolith or the zombies. Story mode is restricted to a few factions only.
Melt down my brain xD ,
Just like in Shadow of Chernobyl.
I know :3 great work mate ! Ill give it 10/10 ;) good hunting STALKER!!
Thanks.
Heh I still remember first time playing CoC when I accidentally clicked Brain Scorcher switch two times and game set my character to Monolith and I was like WTF why Monolith dont shoot me? -_-
Wait, you can become Monolith ingame?
Yeah, I was turning off Brain Scorcher in story mode, and accidentally click it again and I was in Monolith Faction :D
Wow. I wanna try that now. :D
Nice! :)
Thanks. :D
After a long last, my military stalker had the opportunity to use the story mode, all thanks to you, Sir. Thank you very much. It require only a new game, but with r6 I was ready to begin a new one anyway.
No problem.
This kinda makes sense since the monolith faction has an npc that can give you a mission to hunt down someone who is planning to "shut off the brain scorcher"
Hah, exactly.
So does this mod just make Monolith characters immune to psy-effects??? I would randomly spawn as a Monolith in Azazel mode and would die from the psy-effects...
Not sure. Monolith characters should be immune by default.
