My first ever mod. This adds a twist to Call of Chernobyl, enabling the selection from a series of randomized objectives that depict what the player must do. For the best effect, randomize your character on the character creation screen and embark on your quest for success...
EDIT (07/04/2022): This addon is no longer being worked on as I am pursuing other S.T.A.L.K.E.R. projects and mods for other games, though elements of this mod may be used in any future projects that I work on.
This mod adds a twist to Call of Chernobyl; all of the portraits that are available to the player have been replaced with small objectives that fluctuate in terms of difficulty. Most may dictate what you can and cannot do, while others may send you on a wild goose chase... Who knows? You're always welcome to find out!
NOTABLE ISSUES:
- As a result of the replacement of these NPC portraits, any NPC characters that you may meet will bear their own purpose for being with you in the exclusion zone.
- While this effect can be rendered as being unintentional, this can potentially give the player the impression that the other stalkers that they may meet have reluctantly participated in this little game that I have set up for the Zone's human inhabitants.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
- Traders have not been affected by this change in the game's textures, to my knowledge.
- The player is able to opt out of picking any objectives by sticking with the default player portrait.
- A backup of the NPC portraits file has been included for the convenience of players.
- All included files are compatible with the Outfit Addon for Call of Chernobyl, that of which adds additional portraits for both the player and the game's NPCs.
- This mod should be very flexible in terms of it's compatibility with other mods.
- I am unsure as to whether or not there are any noticeable issues with this mod; I already have tested it numerous times. If there are any issues, please feel free to notify me.
INSTALLATION:
1. Extract it, then copy the gamedata folder and use it to overwrite your current gamedata folder. Remember to back your files up!
2. To redo these changes that you would have made throughout the installation process of this mod, you may refer to the backup file that has also been included; with this file, repeat the previous step.
3. Remember to have fun with it! Please tell me about your experiences with this mod.
"- As a result of the replacement of these NPC portraits, any NPC characters that you may meet will bear their own purpose for being with you in the exclusion zone."
