Replaces Doom 1 and 2's background music with remixes from OverClocked ReMix, mainly from albums The Dark Side of Phobos and Delta-Q-Delta.
Overview
This mod replaces Doom 1's and most of Doom 2's background music with their remixes from albums The Dark Side of Phobos and Delta-Q-Delta by OverClocked ReMix. This mod also includes a few additional songs not included in the albums, such as songs by Ashley Carr based on Shawn's Got the Shotgun and Waiting for Romero to Play which were meant to appear on Delta-Q-Delta, but ultimately didn't make the cut, and a remix based on Evil Incarnate by Michael Markie.
A .WAD for The Plutonia Experiment which replaces the respective music with their counterparts is also included, and support for WadSmoosh's Plutonia is included in the main file.
Unfortunately, some of Doom 2's songs such as Between Levels, Doom, Getting Too Tense and The Ultimate Challenge aren't replaced due to them lacking their own remixes.
Intermission from DOOM, which is used for Refinery's music also lacks its own remix. I used another remix, Purgatory by Mick Gordon instead. (Yes, that's the same guy who composed the soundtrack for the Doom '16 and Doom Eternal!)
Update:
Converted audio files to OGG, adressed a few jarring transitions at the beginning and ending of some songs.
Update 2:
Fixed music in some levels not playing properly due to a misnamed file. Silly me!
Update 3:
Added a .WAD for Final Doom: The Plutonia Experiment.
Update 3.5:
Added support for WadSmoosh's Plutonia.
Update 4:
Added a proper remix for Wolfenstein by Michael Markie a.k.a. mikedm92, replaced music for Refinery (E2M3).
Update 5:
- Added new remix tracks, particularly for The Plutonia Experiement.
- Replaced E2M3's track with a remix by Mick Gordon a.k.a. N-JekteD, the composer for Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal.
i find it criminal that you didnt use mazedude's remix of "Into Sandy's City..." it such a good track! good pack otherwise
I legitimately thought the Delta-Q-Delta version by John Revoredo was way more epic and awesome.
