Now instead of static the TVs display an episode of Nu, Pogodi! to help lighten the mood after a long day in the Zone. I'm not much of a modder so I used Zorgl's Stalker Trailer mod just to see how animated textures work in the game. If you're looking for something more serious, check his mod out!

Well... that's great!
This is a very good idea... adds more realism imo
LMAO i remember this
Best addon, although I guess grown men would like to watch hockey or football in bar
Well, it would bring back childhood memories for most Stalkers and with all the death, competition and violence in the zone maybe they prefer something harmless after a long day.
Definitely way more likely than watching GoPro videos of a Stalker walking :D
Funny enough, while poking around the files there are actually some unused frames for the TV that show a half naked woman walking around. Seeing as how there are no women in the Zone they'd probably prefer that.
As a stalker tv? Half of it would be porn thats for sure but bar is something you go with your buddies after hunt, get that bloodsucker you shot cooked into goulash and then drink some beer and watch some hockey match you missed
That used to be on some bar TVs in SGM.
Cartoon, on a hardcore place.... Mmmmhmm. sounds foocking great!
Nostalgic af
What DDS conversion program did you use?
I find that the images played in the xray engine are a bit over-saturated, when using Dxt3 or dxt5.
what dxt version did you save them as?
I've got a soccer game ready but the colors are a bit bled through.
I literally just opened the original files in Paint.net and pasted the images I wanted over them and saved over the file. Certainly not an elegant solution, but it worked for me.
Will have to check this out! I'd love an addon that adds a collection of different videos/gifs to play on the TV(s).
does this work with R6 or 1.4?
I've tested with R6 and 1.4 but it's highly compatible and I see no reason it shouldn't work with 1.5 once that gets a proper release. It also works with CoP but I think the folder structure is slightly different.
What method did you use to take the individual frames from whatever video file you pulled this from?
I don't even remember, it was a website that took video clips and split them into frames.
Thanks for this - I saw it in the list and now it's a must have))
what resolution is that?
