Removes unmarked stashes and increases the loot found in marked stashes.
This addon does the following:
- Reduces the chance an unmarked stash will contain loot from 50% to 1%
- Triples the average contents of common stashes, and quintuples the average contents of rare stashes
If installed on an existing save, unmarked stashes and their contents will be unchanged. Newly generated stashes will have more loot.
Edits the following files:
gamedata\configs\items\settings\treasure_manager.ltx, lines 90, 91, 137, 138
gamedata\scripts\treasure_manager.script, line 656
Not compatible with other addons editing these files such as Grok's Stash Overhaul (EDIT: Grok has generously supplied a patch), but if you like the changes they are incredibly easy to duplicate.
Experienced Stalkers scour the land, looting all in their wake. I didn't like that the best way to find tools was to use meta-knowledge to clear out all stashes. It also sucked when you made a trek to a marked stash and only found some weed. I prefer the gameplay of marked stashes to unmarked ones, so I made this addon.

This sounds like a really awesome idea, def changes the same old formula of "rushing to loot every single stash in the starting area" when you start a new run. Really nice work Stalker!

So, only one out of a hundred boxes have loot instead of one out of two?
Correct. Why 1% instead of 0%? Well, just to keep my changes to a minimum. And so that sometimes you can win the lottery.
This paired up with faction based economy makes earning a living truly brutal yet rewarding up to the mid-to-late game. Would recommend. This is never leaving my addons list that's for sure.

Can it interfere with the stashes that we discover using the radio thanks to the frequencies read in stalker's pda?
I found one but there is nothing inside.
It's possible, as I haven't tested that interaction. However if it was, it would mean there was always a chance one of those stashes would be empty.
I will try to actually use the RF Receiver for once and see what's up.
