Description
This is a sprite replacement that removes the strap from the shotgun including the reload animations. I’m new to doom editing and have no artistic talent so I can’t promise that everything is pixel perfect but I think it came out good enough.

Why remove strap if you already have proper CVAR to disable it?

because the pumping sprites still show the strap. The only thing the cvar disables, are the sprites where the strap is swinging from left to right.

I hardly understand the need for this, I mean whats gonna change if you don't see a strap below a shotgun that comes into view for about 0.5 secs..
It's purely for aesthethics, which is good. Someone has to do it because most Brutal DOOM sprites look like ****. Because most stuff appear only for a few seconds doesn't they should look like ****.

Forget the people who talk negative bro. Keep doing what you do. Adding things to the DooM mod community is always welcome to those of us who truly appreciate the work that goes into these types of things.
P.S. I have noticed the ones who usually just talk bad are the ones who have nothing to contribute to the community but negative comments.
Some people don't get that mods are not meant to be "good for everybody" but "good for somebody".
There's a guy who hates the strap, he has his choice to remove it using this mod.
Then there's another guy who likes the strap, he has no business with this mod...Yet seems to give a bad opinion about it.
Mods are options we can choose, not a 'something for everybody'.
Exactly. I am dead serious, check the profiles of **** talkers. 99% of them have uploaded NOTHING. Some guy takes the time to modify some weapon sprites. Zip it up, upload it, type out a description, possibly upload videos and pictures. Then, someone who has not contributed anything but negative comments has to toss in his two cents. I don't understand what compels people to be total ******** to total strangers. Just because they're behind a keyboard they think they have the right to act like a ****. I will never understand it.

Sure I could make this in like 30 minutes, but fact is, this is just a simple Brutal Doom addon that replaces the pump shotgun sprites to make it look correct with that Brutal Doom shotgun CVAR on, and it does its job perfectly.
Before you state that "There's a CVAR for the shotgun strap", note that the CVAR only fixes the weird shotgun testicle problem in the ready state and not the strap on the pump and reload animation (and this patch fixes it).

Go right ahead but seek out the original author as credited in original brutal doom credits (keep be bothered to look it up) as the sprites are just edits of his or hers work not mine.
This add-on is cool because it gives the shotgun a classic Brutal Doom feel. Since older versions had no strap. Great edit!
Quick question, is this compatible with only the older versions of BDv21?
Its compatible with any version that uses the same normal sprites, such as V20b
