This is the first map of the current project I am making called "Mortal". Planned to be a three episode set with 8 maps in each episode, it reflects the mood and textures of "Quake" and "Eviternity" while still holding its own kind of style.
This first map, "Exit Wounds" Doesn't have a set place in the roster just yet, as I wasn't sure where to put it. The map itself showcases short to mid range fights set inside a brick, castle type setting with walls lowering throughout the progression to widen the battlefield as well as unlock new areas. It takes about 25- 30 minutes to complete on Ultra-Violence.
This isn't my first map, however I do count it as one of the first serious maps I have made as in creating other maps I have not had the knowledge of the engine that I do at the present time.
Any feedback/ tips and tricks/ ways I could improve would be greatly appreciated, and also if you wanted to help make Mortal I've even open to that. Bouncing off other peoples ideas while making a doom map has always sounded like an awesome way to broaden my horizons as far as mapping goes.
