i imported from original misery text folder and most of the gunslinger weapons are translated i don't know if it's accurately translated though
Awesome! I didn't even realise someone had merged these two. In playing for a bit, I found the Saiga has a little bit of Russian in it's name, and the AK-74u is spelled AX-74u

Huh, it's still doing it, straight to desktop, no error message. I'm not sure how many capsules were left this time though

Ok, actually this doesn't work at all. Every text in the game is pretty much replaced by placeholders. for example in the menu it dhows stuff like: "ui_mm_settings", buttons always are named like "btn_exit" and so on.
I don't know if this is related to my PC being German..?
Edit: Nope, I tried to set my Windows language to english, but hadn't any success..
that's strange? on the original folder it doesn't have "ui_mm_settings" you may aswell take a picture so i can see it?
I have the same problem aswell
If you have a look into the file "ui_mm_main.xml" in /gamedata/config/ui/ then you will see all the placeholders for the main menu. These are displayed in the game for me.
Usually in CoP vanilla, if this issue appears, you can just delete the localization.ltx and it will set the proper language according to your system's language, But in the case of Misery it will prevent the game from loading at all, I guess because without this file it has no instruction given or "failback" option.
Maybe it helps to change the values inside localization.ltx, but I have no idea to be honest.
I can remember having the same problem with "Lost Alpha DC".
And that was also because I installed translated files. These files were a German translation of the english files and when I started the game, it suddenly was in Russian. So I changed the language to english via ingame options, so that it would force load the former english files. But then it suddenly showed placeholders instead of language strings - the same like here. The solution was to keep the ingame setting to be Russian and load the actual translated files via a small tweak somewhere in the game files. I forgot the exact details though...
What I do know is that it shows placeholders when it cannot determine the set language. Then the game won't use any localization files and show placeholders. Maybe we should check again if something must be changed in localization.ltx. Maybe setting it to Russian? I mean, if you just overwrote the russian files with english ones, but the game itself doesn't haver english settngs, we should probably set localization.ltx to Russian, so it can load the actual files.

Nope, there is no language option. As I know they only provide language packs. Maybe have a look at these..

Well, language works fine now, but the loadout for Sniper is not the same like described... Is that intended? But it shows "U.S.S Sniper" in the inventory screen (before it switched to Assaulter, but that's now fixed).
He doesn't have the Nagant rifle, but only a TOZ 34 (I think) and a sniper scope. Usually he should get that shotgun (TOZ 66 sawn-off) and a Nagant rifle, right?
There isn't a Nagant in Gunslinger. So You only have the Gunslinger Weapons in the Game as far as i know.
But my question is, how can i update Gunslinger if something new comes out?
lol yeah we need nagant in gunslinger i hope the devs know what they are doing

Ah, thx. I never played Gunslinger / Misery before... Only LA and Anomaly (and vanilla).
im not sure if the gunslinger developer team are going to add Nagant and also the mod it self is beta
Hope they bring this mod to mod DB or add mod DB as an mirror can't download the fixes cause their yandex thing blocks australia.

Alright, I'd like to report to you a small change you could do:
Within your gamedata\configs\text, rename your eng folder to rus, because the localization.ltx file only reads rus folders, the eng folders, as you probably know already, show you placeholders like ui_mm stuff.

Is there a non-torrent version out there? Never was a big fan of it, I'd rather be able to download the file itself.
Well, never mind, think I found it on the site. It just wasn't where I was expecting to find the links, the team name I had to click on. But, I found it anyways, goodness if I went through all the trouble just to use Torrent haha! I tried MANY times to make something like this work, I just only wanted the hardcore AI and Atmosfear to work, but since someone has made it workable with Misery, I can ease off on that!
Hey, are you still updating this one? I saw there's been a few updates on the russian mod merge page, and now the game breaks a bit when you paste over the translation :( Very keen to give it a go, but your translation is vital!

I don't know what i'm doing wrong, do we have to install the mod on a empty folder on in the Call of Prypiat folder? Because when I do so the game freezes after a few minutes of game, installing on a empty folder results on in a black screen when starting

I think this patch is broken. a lot of items have no description like armor scopes and ammo.
Yes it's outdated. Now russians updated mod and they made only to russian language. They broke translation :(
