Thanks for this. Much better! But run speed seems faster than previous Dox version (my imagination maybe?). Is there a way to reduce the running speed back to the way it was?
I can't imagine that being the case, I restored the player's speed to its default value.
If, however, you REALLY want to change their speed, open the file, go to DECORATE/FootSteps.txt, and replace every instance of "Speed 1.0" with "Speed <your value>". That'll alter the player's movement speed - obviously smaller values make you slower, while higher values make you faster.
Running speed not really bothering me but I thought I would experiment. I changed all 5 classes in your addon to speed 0.5, made no difference at all, players movement remained the same. Also tested on your old version (pre-platinum), changing speed to 0.5 DOES make a difference.
Morning! any chance of updating your mod to bd platinum 3.1? i try to load it but it gives me this:
"1 errors while parsing DECORATE scripts"
Was thinking the same that the speed is faster. I checked the config and speed is set to 1.0 like dox mentioned. But weird that changing the speed doesn't make a difference for you.

I stopped modding for brutal doom, however I really didn't like Emerald's attitute regarding the whole situation so I made one last addon that addresses our issue we all have in common.
Maybe there was a reason he did not want to add running. It seems like the flashlight clips into players view when strafe running for some reason. Just compared it to bd21 gold and it seemed like the running speed is much slower versus platinum.

wow now this mod can be played by more then 7 people. i know were not entitled to mods authors dot have to cater to everyone but like this was already a topic before so why not add a option for it. was he looking for drama? he dam well knew that it was going to aggravate people

well, I don't understand why the platinum creator doesn't add the original sprint all at once, a shame the new platinum version doesn't work with the lzdoom, I hope they do something about it

Will there be a version for 2.0? The LegacySprint from official Discord server feels clunky and only works when you enable capslock(.
This add-on is sooo goood! thank you for uploading this! Does this need to be updated for v2.0 of Brutal Doom Plat? I haven't thoroughly tested if this still works or not.
