JSRS to Call of Chernobyl 1.4.22 Arsenal Overhaul 3.0 (not tested with another versions)
It took some days of work to do it, but there it is, JSRS is in Call of Chernobyl too.
Im am brazilian, so sorry about the english.
There is no much things to say. It losses some sounds, but its just little details. You will have 95% of the time the same experience of the Anomaly version.
In my tests, the game didnt crash (not because of the sound mod), but if you have any problem, just leave a comment.
I also included Steps from Soundscape Overhaul, Bullet Impacts and Wizz sounds too. I didnt do a SCoP Weapon Pack yet, but if you want, i can do it after the A.R.E.A. version. Yes, it will be disponible to the sufferning simulator named A.R.E.A. too (just kidding, i love area. I like to suffer, but just a bit).
So thats it. Have fun. And good hunting, Stalker!
Thanks, Solarint.
You need to disclose if this is for 1.4.22 or 1.5 r6.
A bit late but it's compatible with both 1.4.22 and 1.5. Only changes the ltx files in configs\weapons\sounds that associate every sound with each gun. I tested and there was no problem with this.
The only issues were missing sounds and wrong file paths but that can be easily fixed.
Used this mod on CoTZ and got this error without modifying anything and adding the flag to the exe -noprefetch
'FATAL ERROR
[error]Expression : wave&&wave;->length()
[error]Function : CSoundRender_Source::LoadWave
[error]File : SoundRender_Source_loader.cpp
[error]Line : 65
[error]Description : Can't open wave file:
[error]Arguments : z:\mnt\homework\steamlibrary\steamapps\common\s.t.a.l.k.e.r. - call of the zone\gamedata\sounds\weapons\l96a1\bolt.ogg'
What you can do to fix it is go to this mod's \gamedata\sounds\weapons\l96\
Then copy the bolt sfx of the gun, create the folder l96a1, paste the file into this newly created folder and then rename the .ogg into bolt.ogg and you should be good to go. I will post more edits if I encounter bugs of the sort or it's maybe my modpack being a ********
I want to make an adaptation of this for FWR, can someone help me how to do so?
(FWR also contains weapon_sounds.ltx file)
