Description

Here I bring for you an almost complete rework of the previous version of HXRTC HUD 1.0 for Quaker's Mod, but now it's fully compatible with classic Doom. Enjoy a new and more fresh experience through your doomish adventures with this new HUD! It works mainly with most recent releases of GZDoom, ZDoom and Zandronum 2.0. For more instructions and details, see the description below!

Oh my gosh dude, you're the best!!! I'll definitely try this with the particle fire enhancer mod by using the classic doom version of this hud. By the way does this come with different colors like your previous hud?

Well, at the moment this is the only color scheme of the HUD, don't know if I shall release more color variations of it, but perhaps in a near future I'll snap out of it... :)

Ok. By the way, does this really work with zandronum? And if so, can you make a version for the game Duke Nukem 3D?

Yes, at least with v2.0 alpha.

You said... Duke Nukem 3D? Really is there a version compatible with ZDoom/GZDoom/Zandronum? I didn't have any idea, where can you find it? :O

Ok, and um....hold on I think I said that wrong. I meant to say that if you got time to make a version of this hud for Duke Nukem 3D? Hehe sorry....and the EDuke32 source port works.

Wow, I didn't know at all the existance of that sourceport, many thanks for the info!

I'll check it and see if it's possible to make a compatible HUD for it, however this can take me some time, you'll have to be patient... ;)

Ok. And that source port is for Duke Nukem 3D. If you want to play Duke Nukem 3D on it, try to search for the full version on google. ;)

And will the classic doom version of this hud work with any other mods like the particle fire enhancer one?

It should work 100%, unless it's used with any not-compatible addon. As far as I know, PFE only adds eye-candy effects, so there should be no problem.

Nice, i'll keep that in mind. If it doesn't start up with the hud mod, I'll send you a message about what's going on. I hope it works though...also is it possible for you to do a Duke Nukem 64 weapons mod for doom? Read this.

Moddb.com

If you can't, I'll understand. :)

Also, why make a smooth doom version? Is smooth doom highly different than classic doom?

The link must be wrong, it shows an error message that says: "The article requested could not be found."

Anyway, I think I'm still not prepared to do that type of mod, because that would require A LOT OF work and my free time is a bit limited actually. Sorry dude... :(

Regarding Smooth Doom version, it has some little differences in Decorate code; some internal actors have a different name and also it has some new weapons and settings. Thereby, if you try to use the classic Doom HUD version in Smooth Doom, some of the HUD panels won't work correctly.

Oh yeah I forgot that I deleted it out of anger that I had from Prime and the others at the brutal doom page. So sorry....well I understand that you only do hud mods. And oh...hehe that's cool for the smooth doom hud. :)

Hey, Nightcaster460 here. I don't have time to log in to this pc, so i'll just say this. I tried to play doom 2 with this hud, but for some reason it did a script error....what's up with it?

Ok, here I am. Anyways I tried it with no other mods, I used Zandronum 2.0, and um....yeah it gave me a script error. Maybe this hud actually works on skulltag....?

Hmmm, seems you're right, tried it with last build of Zandronum 2.0 alpha (150118-1152) and also gives me a script error. I just don't understand it, I swear that it worked OK in some previous 2.0 version... I'll check if I can find a solution for it.

I wouldn't bother trying it in Skulltag; if the most recent Zandro version can't run with the HUD, I highly doubt a more ZDoom-based obsolete version could do it.

Ouch man, this Zandro-thing is gonna drive me crazy someday... X(

I really feel bad for you. You shouldn't have issues with these things at all, instead you should be free from errors and have a good working project ;). This hud looks super awesome. You worked so hard on an amazing hud. I hope it gets fixed soon... :(
