This is a Overhaul / Rebalance addon for the Half-Life 2 Weapons RIP 3.25b mod for Doom 2, created by AlphaEnt that fixes a few personal issues i have with the mod.
Features include:
Weapon and pickup icons based on the Half-Life 2 World Models replacing the generic HUD icons.
Fixed weapon slots, with the SMG and Pulse Rifle now taking slot 3, the Shotgun and Crossbow being in Slot 4, the Pheropod being in slot 6.
Fixed weapon priority, with the shotgun being chosen first rather then the crossbow when pressing 4, and the grenade being chosen rather then the crossbow when pressing 5.
Rebalanced weapons, the Shotgun deals enough damage to one shot chaingunners at reasonable ranges and has 8 rounds in the tube for more sustained fire, annd the double barrel shot does comparable damage to the Super Shotgun, replacing the normal Doom Shotgun.
The 357 Magnum now replaces the Super Shotgun instead of the chainsaw, and also deals comparable to the Super Shotgun, with its pickup and ammo giving you less rounds.
Max number of grenades increased from 5 to 10, making them more reliable as a work-horse explosive weapon.
Crossbow ammo now replaces the Chainsaw, now giving you 7 bolts instead of 1.
Vanilla enemy sounds have been restored.
Completely improved HUD, Replacing the doom font with the proper HL2 one and more accurate coloring.
Increased view height, you're now as tall as Zombiemen / Shotgunners / Chaingunners.
Fixed the gravity gun displaying the crowbar icon, convenient for those using inventory mods like the Gearbox mod.
