Description

A simple addon that gives your companions the ability to give you gifts from time to time. The gifts are chosen randomically from different tables based on your squad "friendship".

Friendship system

You and your companions will develop friendship by killing enemies and surviving the Zone. The friendship level is increased passively every X seconds by a number equal to your companion number. I know that is pretty simplistic but for now it will do.

When your squad kills an enemy stalker or mutant the friendship increases based on the rank of the creature killed. If one or more of your companions die, your friendship decreases. When you don't have any more companions your friendship is reset to 0. I still don't know if "friendship" is the right word to use but I'll figure it out later.

The total friendship (or max friendship) is determined by the number of your companions. For each companion, 50 points are added to the total friendship.

Your squad friendship is divided in 4 stages:

1. Bad: 1/4 of the max friendship (if your max friendship is 100 then from 0 to 25)
2. Normal: 2/4 of the max friendship (if your max friendship is 100 then from 26 to 50)
3. Good: 3/4 of the max friendship (if your max friendship is 100 then from 51 to 75)
4. Excellent: 4/4 of the max friendship (if your max friendship is 100 then from 76 to 100)

Gifts system

The gifts_tables include handpicked game items, the categories are: FOOD, DRINK, MEDICAL, DEVICE (PDAs), TOOL, REPAIR(Repair tools for weapons and outfits), MISC (Junk) and AMMO. I'm still working on the list, it is a tedious job and if you have suggestions about which items to add just let me know.
You can change these list if you want in the file gfcmod_tables.script inside the scripts folder.

Your companions will also say a random sentence while giving you the gift, I will add more in the future.

NEW
You can now talk to your companions and ask them to bring you a specific category of items. The available categories are unlocked with higher friendship (Medical items for example are unlocked at the "excellent" friendship stage).

Companion fetch quest

From time to time your companions will ask you to bring them something (like the classic fetch missions), but instead of money, they will reward you F R I E N D S H I P and sometimes a stash.

You can set the frequency of these quests, keeping in mind that you can have only 1 quest at a time, even if you have multiple companions.

You can turn this whole system off from the MCM or in the gfcmod_mcm.script. This system still needs to be expanded but maybe it will add more variety to the companions.

This is my first ever mod so it's bound to have some errors but I hope nothing game breaking. If you find some bugs or have some requests feel free to let me know in the comments.

Companion loans

When the friendship level is at least "normal" you can ask your companions for a money loan. These loans have no interests and the money received increases the higher your friendship. When you own money, every X seconds your companion will remind you about the debt and the friendship will increasingly decrease (eheh) until the debt is paid. You can ask for only 1 loan at a time.

Companion squad leaving

Your companion now will have a chance to leave your squad if the friendship goes under 0. The more it goes down the higher the chance of losing your companions. This feature was designed to complement the money lending system and you can turn it off in the settings.

How to install

Simply extract and copy the gamedata folder in your Anomaly installation (where the game's "gamedata" folder is located).
For MO2 simply install the mod using the 7z file provided.

• Added a new dialog option for your companions where based on the friendship level you can choose the category of the gifts that companion can bring to you. You can assign different categories for different companions. When your squad friendship is low you can only choose certain categories, at the different friendship levels new categories will be unlocked so make sure to check in with your companions from time to time. • Added a new news message for when the friendship status changes (there are four statuses: bad, normal, good, excellent)
• The gift chance now is calculated based on the group friendship. At max friendship the gift chance is 0.5 and the MCM setting is now the gift chance base, so if you want to have a gift chance of 100% at max friendship, set the gift chance base in the MCM to 0.5
• The max friendship in your squad is now dynamic, meaning that the more companions you have, the more friendship you have to accumulate to get to the good stages.

• Fixed a bug where story NPCs like Fanatic could give you fetch items quests and the player couldn't turn in the quest. Now these people won't bother you anymore because I stopped them from asking you for things. This fixed also the Ryan Gosling bug, because he is a story NPC. • Literally You In Drive compatibility where Ryan Gosling simply doesn't give you quests. It's a rough fix but my inexperience makes it difficult for now to do more. I can eventually talk to NLTP_ASHES if they want to help me make it compatible!

Big jump in version because I implemented a new system and had no idea on how to do it.

• Added the companion quests system where companions can ask YOU for gifts in exchange of friendship. These quests are automatically accepted, and you can have only one at a time. You can cancel the quest by talking to your companion, nothing will happen although I don't know if your reputation can decrease anyway.
• Killing mutants and NPCs will grant friendship based on their rank. There's a new multiplier if you want to tweak it, the addon is not balanced so you may need to adjust some settings to your likings. (thanks to xcvb for helping me out with this part, really kind people on that discord)
• When one of your companion dies now the friendship is halved, but there's a small chance that insted the group grows stronger and it increases
• Russian not supported for now
• forsiid or anyone interested, if you want to translate it but have trouble with understanding what have I done hit me up!
