"The United States has lost the war against the GLA.
While the US Central Command is under attack, US forces begin to completely evacuate from Europe.
The GLA have sent a small force to the island of Malta, expecting little resistance from the fleeing US army.

Unfortunately for them, the grizzled veteran General Ironside does not intend to end the fighting with his mortal enemy.
He intends to bring the fight back to the GLA, regardless of whether he has the support of Washington or not."
