[REQUIRES "FIXED VANILLA MODELS"] [READ THE COMMENTS FOR CHANGELOG!] Replaces the Nosorog/Rhino models with custom-made ones while still keeping most if not all the Vanilla style to it.
___________
DESCRIPTION
___________
NOTE: You MUST use this mod with "Fixed Vanilla Models", link here: Moddb.com
Nosorog Overhaul. NO for short.
If you never liked how the Nosorog looks, which is simply an Exoskeleton with the helmet (very ugly, badly made and unfit) from Metro, then this mod tries to improve it by using some proper third-party materials (helmet) combined with the original vanilla materials.
The Nosorog is now a combination of the Prototype Exoskeleton with the Official Exoskeleton, made to be purely combat-fit, so no wires around except inside the exoskeleton itself, hence the batteries.
Instead of the default leggings, it uses heavy plated legs, some factions decide to repaint the kneepads for better visibility.
Uses a kevlar kilt, both front and back.
Now has many pockets on the belly, mostly for ammo, the pockets themselves can be used as containers for kevlar plates or the like.
The helmet is composed 90% of metal, almost all factions paint it to differ themselves from others. Also contains ballistic glass and a new experimental type of gasmask that is positioned by two "wires".
For Factions: Duty, Freedom, Mercenary, Military, Monolith, UNISG
___________
INSTALLATION
___________
(The mod was made with MO2 and BAIN in mind)
To install manually, simply extract the "gamedata" folder from "01 MAIN" to your game folder.
After that, you can install the addons if you want.
___________
ADDONS
___________
- OPAQUE VISORS. Makes the visors opaque instead of transparent.
Matter of preference, but may also help a bit with those struggling for performance.

FEEDBACK/CONTACT
___________
For suggestions, it would be best if you first explain what should be done, and then why. Providing other information, such as screenshots, sources and the like is highly encouraged.
For bug reporting, it would be best if you provide a screenshot and if you can, the name of the object in question that has issues. This can be done with the Debug Menu, simply press F7 in-game while aiming at a model, then "Get Info" and screenshot that.
Also, explaining the issue in detail would be nice, if you know how, for example...It uses the wrong normal map, normal map is broken, specular is too high, texture is compressed badly, it has missing mipmaps, etc...

COPYRIGHT/LICENSE
___________
In short: MAKE SURE TO GIVE CREDIT TO THE AUTHOR, "Blackgrowl"! DO NOT SELL/COMMERCIALIZE IT IN ANY WAY! You can use this for your mods, it is meant to be a bit of a Modders' Resource itself.
You are allowed to use this mod on other STALKER games (This includes the original series and major mods like Dead Air) AS LONG AS you provide credit to the original author, Blackgrowl, and you put a link to the original mod itself.
Taking textures from it is only allowed if you explicitly state that you are using FVM (Nosorog Overhaul is related to FVM after all), put a link and credit the author (Blackgrowl), nothing else needs to be done. Putting it on other mods, even if it's the whole pack (modpack), follows the same rule as stated before.
There is a very high chance that "conflicts" will happen, in which case, simply tell the client to acquire and load FVM last so FVM textures are used. FVM will always be inherently the latest, as long as you don't change the texture names.
You are absolutely not allowed to get any monetary or commercial gain from this. Besides, that breaks GSC's license, so you'd be facing a whole company instead.

[CHANGELOG]
UPDATE 2
- "NEW ICONS" addon has been removed to avoid compatibility issues and the like.
If you want the icons, simply acquire them from the original source: Moddb.com
It is also suggested you remove the old files to avoid conflicts, your game might crash!
- Redid the "Neckguard", it now covers the neck completely and has no "voids". This allows to use other heads instead of only the Balaclava.
- Fixed mesh issues that the pockets & skirt had. Basically, the pockets should be looking fine even when using Player animations.
- Adjusted the "batteries" on the thighs, now they don't look like they're floating.
UPDATE 1
- Added an addon, "OPAQUE VISORS", which makes the visors' glass opaque, for those that prefer it that way. (It may also help with performance a bit for those struggling)
- Added an addon, "NEW ICONS", which replaces the default icons with much better ones made by Cr3pis. Also uses RavenAscendant's "Icon Override", which should help avoid all possible conflicts.
- Duty variant's top helmet colour was too saturated in comparison to the Torso Plates, this has been fixed.
- Military Variant now has yellow lenses instead of green.
- As a little bonus, UNISG Leader uses a variant of the helmet, with visors on top and no gasmask.
[F.A.Q.]
- "Why is this mod separated from the main mod itself?"
For one perfect reason: FVM has a strict code against using third-party models of any kind. Even if it's good, it should not be part of FVM itself.
So with that in mind, I have it separated from the main mod itself.
- "Is this compatible with Duxmod, ****?"
Yes. Any conflicts are probably from the helmet textures, which you can easily ignore.
You might want to put Nosorog Overhaul at the bottom of the load list.
- "UNISG variant doesn't seem to match with the rest of the body."
It was made with "UNISG Overhaul" from "Fixed Vanilla Models" in mind. I am unwilling to make an original Anomaly one, sorry.
- "The helmet is not closed!"
It isn't, neither is the original "Czech M10" (Which is not even so) from Anomaly.
- "What about the icons?"
You can acquire them here: Moddb.com
- "Can you bring back the ****** Metro helmet that is actually the gasmask?"
**** no, ******* never.

Real rhino stuff
i love your **** man your **** is very huge but very good
Excellent work! Instant download as was the case with FVM. :)
Looks outstanding, I love how the different elements from other suits were blended together. The head fits the vanilla style really well (at least in my opinion).
The helmet also reminds me of some of the headgear used by the liquidators.
Looks great! Although I think it would be great to have a non-see-through visor option, similar to the Berill-5M or SKAT visors (which have both versions). It would make it more consistent with other armors in the game, and make the suit look a bit more intimidating in my opinion. Great work!
Great idea, it's something easy to do, expect an update next day or two.
Thank you!
Pure sex.
Come back honey, please.
Good Stuff
please make an hd model addon so that the nosorog body is what the hd model has only with this helmet or be compatible with the hd model
No.
no lmao
Please do not post in the first 3 comments.
Regarding a question:
"Could you indicate an installation order for this add-on and also with the ones you are recommending?"
If you use Duxmod, don't use LUV. Load FVM last, and put Nosorog Overhaul below FVM.
Like so:
"****
FVM
Nosorog Overhaul"
Are there any plans to rework the hands in first-person view? This is an important point, since it turns out that from the third person we have one exoskeleton model, new, beautiful, with neat hands, without wires that interfere with normal aiming from a pistol, and when viewed from the first person the old one which is devoid of all the features
Currently there are no plans for that, but it might change in the future.
very sad
T.H.A.P. ExoReTx 2.0.1
Pretty sick.
It looks sick. Way better than this Metro helmet abomination from vanilla. But speaking of helmets, you have changed the icon of a wrong one I think - Nosorogs use the Spartan helmet, which counts as their part in the crafting tree, but the new icon is used by the Apocalypse helmet instead, which has no correlation to the Nosorog. Or was this intented?
Anyways, you are doing an awesome job dude. This should be for real implemented in the next official Anomaly release.
According to the maker of the icons, Cr3pis, this was intended indeed :)
If you want, you can change it yourself by going to configs/icon_override, pick ico_nosorog and then change "helm_nosorog" (first entry) to "helm_spartan"
Okay I see, big thanks for the info on how to change it :D
Please mercy, a version with the Metro helmet would be nice.
No.
This mod was made to replace the ugly Nosorog/Rhino that used the unfit helmet from METRO.
I gave it the METRO helmet, I would be regressing like an idiot, literally throwing any hard work made away.
Sorry

можете сделать экзоскелет как в сталкер 2 с фонарями на плечах I.playground.ru
можете сделать подобное на этот мод, но и для остальных группировок: бандиты, чисто небо, ренегаты, грех, ученые и Т.Д. Moddb.com
Is it compatible with Anomaly HD Models, if I will install it after HD models?
Just use FVM.
thank god for this mod, i hate hate hate hate the nosorog's looks
Do you plan on adding Clear Sky variant?
No, the original game didn't have a Nosorog for Clear Sky.
But Duxmod might already have it.
Amazing work, it should be more popular. Do you plan to add custom character portraits in the future by any chance?
Also, would it be possible to replace the Metro helmets used in other suits with the model from this overhaul? As a seperate addon perhaps. I know that I can get rid of them with LUV, but I actually don't mind some of the other models which it removes.
Anyway, thanks for making the game even better with your work
Thanks, as for your questions...
No plans for portraits, but if someone wants to do it and share it here, they can PM me the files and I'll make sure to add them.
Replacing metro helmets is not my intention, I'd rather just use LUV.
However, there's plans for a future FVM update that changes the "IBAZ" armours into something more fitting, it will be released as an "addon for an addon" just like this one.
do the player's arms still have those ugly cables in first person? I don't use exos because of the extremely ugly arms.
I really like your models! But could you make this armor with a subway helmet like the original rhino?
I like the look of the body armor a lot, but the helmet almost looks... atrophied? Compared to the rest of the armor, like a set of ski goggles and a balaclava. It's not bad, but it doesn't suit the look very well, not heavy enough in my opinion.
He's very cool.
Besides the Nosorog there is this other suit called "IBA" / "IBAZ" which is q weird kitbash of the Spartan helmet and god knows what else.
It just looks horrid due the low poly model and its textures quality. Is there any possibilities for an overhaul just like the Nosorog?
Yes, "The Testudo Cohort" modding community has planned up a completely new suit of armor that will be called the "TARAN-6b".
Fantastic mod
Comrade, i did everything right. But my Nosorog arms and Helmet are with the model of the new Nosorog but they are in a ugly blue color. Every Nosorog is with it. Duty, Freedom, Monolith and even UNISG! What should i do to fix that?
That sounds like missing textures, but if you set it up properly it should be fine.
I have no idea what would cause this, perhaps you have a conflicting mod?

Comrade! Your Mod is Amazing! I can finally install it and it works perfectly, just one question, is this mod compatible with the hd models?
Nope, it's stated in the description that this is to be used with FVM, HD Models is not compatible.
