A simple set of NVG icons based on real devices (the PVS-14; PNV-10T; and the GPNVG-18). Please read the description for installation instructions.
Can be installed directly through MO2/JSGME, but the main file is a complete ui_icon_equipment.dds file with extensive custom icons from other mods, which may not be to everybody's taste.
In the parent file you will find a folder called "loose icons for merging", inside this you will find a single file named NVG.dds; this is a much smaller file containing only the three NVG icons, and is intended to be manually merged with your own equipment icon file if you prefer. That file can be found at:
- gamedata/textures/ui/ui_icon_equipment.dds
The files can be merged very easily through photoshop, GIMP, or similar - simply open your file, find you existing NVG icons, crop them out, and paste the loose NVG icons in their place.
There are not currently any custom description files for the devices, so the game files will still refer to them by their usual names. I'm planning "accurate" descriptions (and some other surprises) in a future release.
PVS-14 will give a better picture than PNV-10T. Maybe you should swap the gradation?
Ah that's interesting. I was basing the gradiation on the percetion of the image size. I presumed the PVS-14 (beinbg a monocular) would be most appropriate for the lowest tier which has the smallest field of view with the NVG mods I'm using. Idiosyncratic I know.
I'm planning an overhaul/rebalance for NVGS as a separate mod, so I'll have to think about what you've said while I'm working on that. Thanks!
In PNV-10T, the output lens is the same as on PVS-14, but PVS has the third generation of the matrix against the second on PNV. Of course it's up to you to decide, just a note)
Love the new icons, it might be a small change but it's really refreshing.

Absolutely love this mod, although I am using it with a few other icon mods and it overwrites some of the icons I like. I'm going to try and edit the files so that i can cherry pick the icons you have included here, I've never done that before but let's see how I go. If at all possible, a fomod in future would be incredible so cherry picking is easier.
