Basically a modular config modpack to rebalance the game to your liking. Variations of each addon has assigned difficulty ratings, you choose what works best for you.
The config-mods are divided up into the files they replace and are totally standalone, so even if some of these conflict with other mods you are using, you can still use the others.
Use your judgement on which is best for you.
Hard versions make the game more challenging in some way.
Regular versions should be similar to the base game, but with rebalancing.
Easy versions make the game noticeably (but not excessively) easier by offering affordances.
Very Easy may significantly deviate the game experience away from vanilla, allowing you to still enjoy using the mechanic while also taking away most of the distractions.
Detailed changes are contained in readmes for each sub-mod, here are the summary of changes:
A more free-spirited start, picture you selling your home and life savings to come strike it rich in the Zone! Just kidding! Actually this substantially adds and rearranges starting weapons and some items - now you don't have to get a pistol if you don't want one, or you can bring two if you're crazy! There are many new options that make starting a new game a lot more fun. Can I recommend a MP-412 Monolith run? There are some new rifle options as well, and I had to limit a few selections to compensate. Don't worry, I tried pretty hard to keep things balanced. However, if you need something more challenging than vanilla, the Hard mode option substantially reduces your options - you might choose not to take a pistol at all! The rather extensive changes are mostly detailed in the readme.
With how easy it is to damage to your gun and armor, maintenance is a huge part of the game. This mod makes weapon and armor maintenance more natural. Eases up on the excessive condition restrictions. Keeping your gear well-maintained will be noticeably easier, and cheaper - but it will still become pricey if it gets too damaged. Also updates the text of repair-related items to make it much more clear what the function is, while striking a balance between the original text. The numbers are discussed in much greater detail in the readme.
Regular: No changes to mechanic progression, prices are adjusted (usually increased) along with the changes in the repair amounts, so you gain the convenience of the rebalancing without changing the money economy surrounding it much. Along with a few other tweaks.
Very Easy: Medium armor kits available at all mechanics from the start, and you unlock kits 1 tier earlier. Also, a 20% price discount for finding a mechanic Expert tools is a good replacement incentive. Prices for weapon and armor toolkits dropped by 25% and 33% respectively. Cleaning and sewing kits also have more uses.
Tired of getting taken out in one hit by a sniper in Red Forest? Softens the damage model for the player to result in fewer instagibs in firefights, letting you have more fun and try out new tactics. Roughly a 33% damage reduction over vanilla (only damage subtracted from your health when something hits you).
-Slows down bleedout so you have more time to react, 50% of vanilla speed. This is especially useful if you like to play with item usage animations turned on.
-Tastefully rebalanced movement speed so walking is faster than crouching, and jogging is a bit faster.
-Reduced stamina drain for certain types of movement. The effect being fully burdened has on energy loss is reduced as well: moving near your limit will not be as brutally taxing, but still inconvenient.
Regular: same as above but player only takes 10% less damage and bleed out at 75% speed.
Very Easy: same as Easy but increased resistances to anomalies, added a small health regen, and your wound healing rate is 4x more than vanilla, which is still not all that much, but you'll be able to survive small scratches without needing bandages. You also gain more health over time from digesting calories.
Isn't it weird how nobody seems to carry essential items in the Zone? Increases drop rates of these essential items and make enemies drop higher quality weapons and armor as well as more of both good and old ammo. This sometimes feels like too much on easy difficulties but on harder difficulties it will help prevent you from running out of essential supplies after each fight.
Note: This can have a huge impact on game economy for the player, especially if you crank your carry weight limit up, as you will be returning with a larger amount of higher-condition gear to sell. Be careful choosing your level of challenge!
Note: Condition of dropped armors is partially dependent on the armor progression setting, which is "Progressive" by default, meaning the armor condition will be dependent on your social rank... I recommend changing it to "Full" because it feels more realistic. This is something you have to change yourself on each new game.
Smaller sub-mods (mostly just change the item economy):
Double the amount of ammo sold by vendors. Sweet and simple for those who like to spray bullets and have enough roubles to afford it.
Very Easy: also drops the buy condition of vendors to 1%, the prices automatically adjust to compensate and this is a setting you can change in the in-game menu so this is more for your convenience when starting new runs than a real balance change.
Want to roleplay being a hunter for the Zone's hungry souls? Stoves and fuels are now cheap enough that it can be worthwhile cooking hard-earned meat yourself instead of buying scraps from vendors. Before it was a huge money sink and barely worth it even for high end meats. Now you should be able to make (a little) money off items worth more than ~350 Ru, on easier difficulties. Of course, you've still got to do the hunting!
Regular: increases pricing to match the item rebalancing, so the economy is minimally impacted.
Dying is not particularly fun. Regular mode increases quantities of cigs (and price accordingly), and reduces price of bandage while increasing medkit uses.
Easy: drops prices of all drugs by 33% (which also means you get less money from selling extras!), and
Very Easy: further doubles the time drugs are active and makes mints better for casual use.
Allows you to remove, sell, or discard quest items from your inventory. Use with extreme caution, I just got sick of getting stuck with heavy packages for tasks and not being able to temporarily drop them. The only way to get a quest item back if you lose or destroy it is to reload an earlier save, and most missions are not designed for the player to lose a quest item.
For each version of a module you want to add, copy the contents of the gamedata folder into your Anomaly gamedata folder.
Only shows the changes for the current and previous version.
Changed in 1.13.2
Ammo 1.02 - Finally gave in on that condition % getting fixed anytime soon, so I set it so you can sell at 1% condition instead. Because when it is set to 0 you can't sell any guns at all, which is a ridiculous and terrible bug in the game.
Quest Items 1.02 - Sorry guys, I missed a few changed lines from 1.5.0 that results in crashes on certain tasks (for me, I found it while doing anomalous detector tasks). I apologize if this caused you any headaches - should work fine now. The original quest items file is a mess.
Changed in 1.12
Loadouts 1.02 - Now available in multiple challenge levels, all factions have multiple gun options now without being too excessive (but Tourist is on the verge of having too many). Hopefully this will allow the early Anomaly gameplay to shine more.

Hello. I think this would be stupid question but can you please explained how to install mod that change amount of round on the corpses. I would like to see more then 1-5 bullets after I kill an enemy. But I don’t really get how to instal modesoroperly. Could you give me a hand ;) ?
No problem. Inside the Drops mod, copy the "gamedata" folder into your main Anomaly directory. The game should recognize the files and apply them next time you launch it. (For item drops) it should take effect immediately, you do not need to start a fresh game or kill newly spawned npc's.
Yes, by default only 0-6 rounds drop for most types of guns. It's very annoying.
Hmm. Alright I will try. In clean original game there is no Gamedata folder isn’t it? I mean when I simply drag gamedata into main directory it would be enough? And how much round will drop after this manipulation ? Because yesterday I tried a bit but see no resault xD maybe I am very noob ahah
Correct, there is no separate gamedata folder to begin with. Well, there is, but its hidden inside the \db\ folders. When the game launches it checks to see if there is loose files which it tries to use instead of the internal files. Modders who want to change things need to unpack these database files in order to start modding. It's easy to be confused by how conveniently this system works!
Actually, I think the game does create a gamedata folder once you start a new game for the first time, creating a few config files like atmosfear_options.ltx.
If your game is placed in a folder called \Anomaly\ (where the AnomalyLauncher.exe is, then place your gamedata folder like so: Anomaly\gamedata\. That's all there is to it.
You sir are a god.
Thanks for this! I'm too much of a baby for raw Anomaly.
What, you think getting swarmed by waves of military, bandits and dogs all in rotation in the starting area of Cordon is too hard? What a casual...
I bet that after getting blasted for minutes straight and having grenades lobbed at you that you probably expect your enemy corpses to have more than two bullets each to their name and gun that actually functions.
Food? Medical supplies? pffft- no way.
Hello Jivixfromwc3
Thank you very much for your fantastic mod.
It makes the gameplay for me much more enjoyable without watering down the Anomaly experience (at least that’s how I feel about it). I always use the "regular" option.
I hope, in time you will update your mod for the newly released Update 3 of Anomaly 1.5.0 Beta3.

Really cool addon. Cheers!
Thanks, glad you are enjoying it!
Thanks Man - you save this very good mod for me ;) I was about to uninstall all because it was just too hard but with your mode you can ajust all what you want ;)
THX big time
Glad you enjoy it! I used to make these only for myself, but I started uploading these after I realized some others might want an easier game too.
Weird, I have no problem adding them - very strange issue. I will see if I can reproduce on 1.5.1 while I'm updating.
Edit: I think it is a problem with the new Lua-driven UI (they probably coded it so zero-point items aren't moveable, so you can't accidentally remove your default kit), so as a workaround I changed bandages and medkits to require a small amount of points.
i don't understand how do i change difficulty, i can't find anywhere in settings, or i should i put like the "very easy mod" folder of each mods ?
Hi Guest,
Yes you copy the gamedata folder inside the folder of the difficulty you want, into the game's gamedata folder, for each mod.
To remove the mod you only have to delete the files it added (or overwrite them).
Hmm, it seems Ammo it's conflicted with TRADER OVERHAUL COMPLETE 1.28.1, should i just put your mod before or after this mod? or i cant use your mod if use trader?
You will have to choose one or the other, unfortunately.
Found an issue with the Repair part of this addon whilst investigating my load order. Apparently Very Easy Mode for Repair (and possibly the other difficulties) breaks the sleeping bag's functionality, making it impossible to place the sleeping bag for use.
Only fix that I am competent enough to do myself is to delete the items_tools.ltx file which seems to fix it, though I don't know how that file will affect gameplay otherwise.
Thank you for the report. I will check it out. I am not entirely sure but I thought the sleeping bag was broken in the current release of Anomaly. They did a bunch of changes by switching to Lua.
I just got Anomaly yesterday and these install instructions are really confusing to me. I tired following the readme but I couldn't get anywhere with that either.
can i do the invictus achivment with this mod coz mutens one shot on hard diffcalty
Yep
does it work with 1.5.2?
