Hi everyone!
I present to you my first project thread ever, and with it, my reinterpretation of the iconic tracks from Doom.
My intent is to provide something that takes a more modern approach to the music of old while still sounding like something that realistically could have come out of the 90's...whether or not I achieved that is up to you! As of right now (03.26.2020), this pack contains music from The Ultimate Doom (yes, including SIGIL), but will ultimately be expanded to include both Doom II as well as tracks from Final Doom.
I know this sort of thing has been done COUNTLESS times, however, I hope this music sits in well with certain gameplay mods that take a similar vanilla yet modernized approach, for instance:
Beautiful Doom; viewtopic.php?f=43&t=50004
Enhanced Vanilla Project (EVP); viewtopic.php?f=43&t=58191
Eriguns; viewtopic.php?f=19&t=48208
Nobody Told Me About ID (NTMAI); viewtopic.php?f=43&t=67319
I've been sitting on this for a while, but I feel the time has come to unleash this into the community at large; so to those who received a sort of "pre-release" and kept it to themselves, you have my sincerest gratitude . Now, without further ado -

Hey, good job dude, I like your mod. Hope you can extend this to DooM II, Plutonia and TNT as well. Thanks!
Thanks man! Like I mentioned in the description, I do plan to include all games/episodes, but it's definitely going to take some time. Good news is that I've already started on Doom II, so there's something to look forward to.
Hi. Ok, waiting for it. What I like most is that it has a Quake2 tune. Keep that style for your new version, it will be cool. Also I'm including your music in some videos and uploading to YouTube and will be pointing people here. If you wish you can visit our site "Team DooM Guys" at YouTube and subscribe :)
Much appreciated, that's a good comparison in my book and kind of what I was going for. Doing my best at keeping the style for the next set of music, but some of the tracks on Doom 2 are pretty goofy so I'm taking my time at re-working them while still maintaining the original piece. Glad you've found use for my music and thanks for pointing people this way!
Hey, how are you. Hope you are fine. One question, is this project still in development??
I'm good and it sure is! I'm taking my time with this next set as I did with the first (it actually took me close to a year of working off and on this project to complete The Ultimate Doom music), so it will be a while before I release anything.
Ok, lets take care. Yes I understand that and agree with you, making good stuff takes time and tests. I'm releasing some projects that were waiting for. So lets wait, good things takes time. Your music is original, that's what I like. Keep in touch :)
Just heard some of your previews, these tracks sound awesome! :D
Thanks so much man, glad you checked them out! With any luck and enough persistence the next set will turn out just as good, if not better.
I've just checked your mod and I liked the drums, sounds spectacular, good job! hard work done with the guitars, those acoustics sounds powerfull!.
Hard work indeed, though...mostly just a lot of patience! lol Actually, getting the guitars to sound realistic enough was one of the trickier aspects to this, especially since I'm using the original midi performances for all the tracks. I did take some liberties with the drum rhythms, but for the most part they don't stray too far from the originals. Mostly some double time and half time measures peppered in for variation. Thanks for checking this out, I really appreciate the feedback!
Awesome covers, hope you'll add Doom II tracks soon :)
