Addon for nostalgia purpose, this will add the original (from before Atmosfear) Call of Pripyat or Clear Sky weather, sky and overall atmosphere/lighting to Call of Chernobyl 1.4.22
The purpose of this addon is to replace the default Call of Chernobyl atmosphere/weather (inherited from Atmosfear)
by the one from the original Call of Pripyat or the original Clear Sky one.
the major difference between both games in regards to the weather is the far plane and fog distance (250 in CS and 350 in CoP)
(Atmosfear enabled a far plane to 1000 distance).
This is mostly for a Call of Pripyat or Clear Sky nostalgia and additionally enable a bit of "mystery" feeling to the CotZ atmosphere
as you can't see all the map and it seems there's a strange fog shrouding things from your eyes at a range.
Version 1.1 :
added "Optional No RED in emissions" that allows the user to remove the red sky and red lights all around at the peak of the emissions.
To Install
----------
Go to your prefered weather : the "Clear Sky Weather" folder or the "Call of Pripyat Weather" one
Move the gamedata folder to your ...\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Chernobyl\ directory
To Uninstall
------------
Delete the folder "environment" found in
...\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Chernobyl\gamedata\configs\
Delete the files "atmosfear_default_settings.ltx" and "atmosfear_options.ltx" found in
...\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Chernobyl\gamedata\configs\
Delete the 5 .ltx files that name start with "rspec" found in
...\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Chernobyl\gamedata\configs\
Delete the files "level_weathers.script" and "atmosfear_options.script" and "surge_manager.script"found in
...\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Chernobyl\gamedata\scripts\
Delete the folders "sky" and "fx" found in
...\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Chernobyl\gamedata\textures\
this will restore CoC default weather
NOTE : if you have another addon that use a "fx" folder in the texture directory, do not delete that folder
Optional No RED in emissions
-------------
Call of Pripyat emissions reach their peak in a very red sky and very red light all around the map.
This can be a pain for some people eyes, with this addon the red sky and light at the peak of an emission is replaced by the "normal" emission sky and light
much better for the eyes in my opinion. This open is compatible with both the Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat version of the atmosphere
Compatibility
-------------
This addon is not compatible with any addon that modify the weather system
It is not compatible with Tronex Global Weather (so in case you installed Tronex Global Weather, remove its files).
If you use a texture pack addon, note that this CS-CoP atmosphere addon features the Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat sky textures (they're the same actually)
so there will be an overwriting very likely.

NOTE
----
Instead of editing the user.ltx , just launch the game and start or load a save.
Press Escape and go to the Video Options ingame, and change the quality to High (or Medium if you were already set to High) and press Apply.
See if it changed the lighting, then go back to the Video Options and change the quality to where you had it previously, and press Apply.
This will automatically change the values in your user.ltx so you do not need to edit it to benefit from the CS/CoP specific dof/tonemap/lumscale values.
Same if you have uninstalled this addon, doing so will reset to the original CoC specific dof/tonemap/lumscale values without editing the user.ltx

Do you think you could port this mod to Anomaly? I legit wonder how it would feel :v
Unfortunately i don't have Anomaly anymore so i can't port it myself (it also should not be an easy port as the scripts and weather files system are very different in Anomaly as it is using built-in Tronex Global Weather system, it would require some editing to make sure it does not break anything)
This looks interesting! I will give it a try
Wow this works really well! Ive been trying to do this forever and now I can play the game like this! Also can I use this for My ZonaPhobia mod-pack?
If your modpack is based on CoC 1.5, for better compatibility i suggest you instead to try the version i did for Call of the Zone (as CotZ is based on CoC 1.5r4).
Moddb.com
If your modpack is based on CoC 1.4, there should be no problem to use this CoC version of the addon, just make sure to remove Tronex Global Weather files in case you have them already in your mod pack.
It happens to be for 1.4 of Call Of Chernobyl and this most certainly works with specific addons,My modpack only uses OWR and alife revamps along with some other stuff but using it shows no conflict at all so really thanks a lot!
That's really cool, I love the atmosphere of Clear Sky and always considered the environments of Call Of Pripyat and it's mods a downgrade in terms of immersiveness and ''personality''.
Great, not everyone likes Atmosfear. I prefer vanilla weather. Thanks.
updated to version 1.1 :
added "Optional No RED in emissions" that allows the user to remove the red sky and red lights all around at the peak of the emissions.
Better for the eyes for people that were annoyed by the default COP emissions.
This addon crashes if you change the weather parameters at/in main menu.
Hmm... This is the thing i was looking for years! Thanks, dude. But i noticed one problem... The sun isn't in it's place at evenings, i guess it's because it uses sky_rotation parameter from atmosfear. Can you fix it, pleaaase? :P
