Allow your companions to sprint with you instead of being too slow and ending far away when your are sprinting. Port from the CoC 1.5 feature into CoC 1.4.22.
When your character is going with companions in 1.4.22 , when you sprint the companions aren't able to do the same and you will have to wait for them regularly as they will be far behind.
In CoC 1.5 the devs added the ability to sprint to the companions so they can still follow you.
As i am playing 1.4.22 i gave a try to port this "companion can sprint" feature from Call of Chernobyl 1.5.x to Call of Chernobyl 1.4.22.
To do so i simply edited the beh_companion.ltx according to the devs editing from :

To install, you just need to move the gamedata from this downloaded archive into your Call of Chernobyl directory.
The only file in this mini addon is \gamedata\configs\scripts\beh_companion.ltx
So as long as your gamedata\scripts\ folder does not have one (i use several mods and none had this file) , it should be compatible with mostly anything that do not modify companions.
Obviously DO NOT USE this for Call of Chernobyl 1.5 as it already have the sprinting companion feature.
To uninstall, simply delete beh_companion.ltx from your .\gamedata\configs\scripts\ folder and your companion will be again unable to sprint with you.

Well it's a case of whole website not the particular file.
It was indeed a problem affecting the whole of moddb, but fortunately it seems they managed to fix it as i notice the file is now available for download.

This isn't compatible with the Invincible Companions mod. How do I merge that mod with this one?
Try that : in the beh_companion.ltx from the companion sprinting addon look for
[beh@general]
combat_ignore_keep_when_attacked = true
Add invulnerable = true , so it looks like
[beh@general]
invulnerable = true
combat_ignore_keep_when_attacked = true
that should work and allow the sprinting companions to also be immortal

Oh God! Thank you! I've been trying to mod the companions files myself to enable my companions to sprint but it hadn't worked because maybe I've been editing the wrong parts. I'm definitely gonna give this a try when I get back home.
I placed the datafolder in and when I load my game it just crashes. Any suggestions? I get a list of error strings.
I was the guest comment earlier but I got it to not crash, however my companions WILL NOT follow me and I am unable to use a weapon once I get a companion. Why is this, anyone else have an issue too?
As i don't have any problems myself, are you sure you're using it in Call of Chernobyl 1.4.22 ?
It will not work in 1.5 , CoC 1.5 already has some kind of companion sprinting already.
