Do you want to play as a mutant from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games? If so, we have the solution for you!
EDIT (07/04/2022): This addon is no longer being worked on as I am pursuing other S.T.A.L.K.E.R. projects and mods for other games, though elements of this mod may be used in any future projects that I work on.
Do you wish to play as a mutant from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games? Do you wish to sneak up on your enemies as a Bloodsucker or clobber your enemies as a Pseudogiant? Do you want to throw wooden crates at your enemies while they cower away in fear? All of this and many other opportunities await you with this unique mod.

- Optional Tweaks: This folder contains all of the extra bits and pieces that are purely optional. All of the contents of this folder will be compatible with all of the
patches for this mod, unless stated otherwise.
MOD HIGHLIGHTS:
This mod comes with ten unique mutant classes, all of which are based upon the vanilla faction selection system for Call of Chernobyl. These classes range between the following:
- Bloodsucker: Feared by many and admired by none, you lust for the taste of your prey's blood. You are capable of delivering deadly melee attacks, slashing away at any unsuspecting prey. For those times when you must feed, you can also make use of your tentacles to suck the blood of your victims.
- Snork: Agility is a Snork's best friend. A Snork's dinner is it's other best friend. With this class, the Snork has an undivided focus on melee and getting up close and personal on it's enemies. With no ranged attacks included, the Snork's tactics would dictate whether or not you may survive playing this role.
- Pyrogeist: Coupled with your fiery temper, your ranged attacks will deal a great deal of damage to your foes. You do not have any melee capabilities, though this doesn't stop other stalkers from staying on their toes and trying not to become roast turkey.
- Zombie: Slightly undead and really slow. With only your melee attacks and your deceptive appearance on your side, you don't really have much choice with this class. Of course, this is not a bad thing; you just need a stalker or two to claw away at and everything will be okay.
- Controller: Slow, stocky and dangerous. These three characteristics, combined with your deadly melee attacks and ranged psi attacks, speak volumes about what defines this class. As a Controller, the world around you is a very deadly playground, and your key to success is staying in control.
- Pseudogiant: Strength is always on the side of the Pseudogiant. Your melee attacks will send your enemies flying and you have the ability to become immune to most damage types, including gunfire, for a limited amount of time. The best class to ruin any stalker's day in the Zone.
- Burer: A very diverse class. Gives you the ability to use ranged telekinetic attacks, deadly melee attacks and throw objects at your enemies. In conjunction with your sinister appearance, many stalkers will brand the Burer as a force to be reckoned with.
- Poltergeist: Supernatural. This is one of the many words that can be used to define the Poltergeist. Similar to that of the Pyrogeist, though not as rare, the Poltergeist is a very crafty supernatural form that can partake in manipulating it's surroundings for it's own gain (i.e. throwing objects, etc.).
- Izlom: With long limbs and savage tendencies, the Izlom is a territorial mutant with an eye for tranquility. Upon being disrupted from it's time alone, it can prove to be a fearsome enemy in the eyes of most stalkers. The Izlom will charge a target, not looking back and not hesitating to close in for the kill.
- Zombified Stalker: Not to be confused the Zombie class. Allows you to play as a real Zombified Stalker, complete with matching animations and deadly weapons. To use this class, press the [Z] key when your character's name has not been selected (press [ENTER] to unselect your character's name) and select your desired character portrait. You will spawn with an assortment of ranged weapons and skins.
A minor showcase of this mod can be studied from the trailer below:
UPDATE LOG:
- v1.00: Mod created. First patch. Replaced all player factions with nine different mutant types, followed by a single Zombified Stalker class. Includes the following classes: Bloodsucker, Snork, Pyrogeist, Zombie, Controller, Pseudogiant, Burer, Poltergeist, Izlom and Zombified Stalker.
More updates are yet to be added in the future.
INSTALLATION:
1) Replace your current gamedata folder with the gamedata folder that can be found in "Main Game FIles".
2) Take care with the installation and try not to paste this gamedata folder over your current one. Import the gamedata folder that has been mentioned above as a
new folder into your Call of Chernobyl main game directory, or paste all of the contents inside of the aforementioned gamedata folder inside of a new gamedata folder.
This eliminates any chances of your game crashing due to files conflicting with those from other mods. Compatibility with other mods has not yet been tested; this should
be done at your own risk.
3) This mod works best with vanilla Call of Chernobyl (version 1.4.22).
4) Don't forget to have fun!

Thank you, laresgod. Happy hunting. :)
So soon! Can't wait to try it
I hope you enjoy playing, J00B. Happy hunting. :)
This is gonna be so fun :D :D
That's great to hear! Feel free to let me know if there's anything that can be improved upon. :)
I didn't knew I wanted this, but I really need this now.
Awesome idea! Can't wait to experience the zone in yet another perspective.
Playing as Monolith was cool enough, but this really raises the bar.
Thank you, yoshjoz. Hopefully, this can also inspire other modder's to build upon this and make the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. experience even more enjoyable for everyone. Enjoy! :)
Hey im having problems installing the mod.
Do i drag and drop the gamedata folder into my COC root folder, or is it something else? Keep having problems with my game not launching, it just shuts of after the game icon pops up.
Btw awesome mod, always felt that i wanted to make something like this, so its fun to see somebody actually do it! Ill make a future comment for feed back how to improve and all that good stuff, just goto get this to work first.
Hello, RocketCheeseMan.
I'm glad to hear that you're interested in this new project. Currently, you would only be required to drag the gamedata folder for this mod into your main CoC folder to make it the only gamedata folder present. It may not be the best option to paste it over an existing gamedata folder as this may cause conflict between other mod files.
All the best with getting this mod to work. If you require any additional help, feel free to consult me. :)
interesting
Thank you. Have fun!
Any plans to make this compatible with CoC 1.5 R6?
Hello, STALKERvoir.
I may make it compatible with CoC 1.5 R6. I haven't had too much experience modding that myself, but I may give it a try at some point. :)
Three things.
1) Just an AMAZING mod!!! Been wanting something like this since... FOREVER! :)
2)The default Bloodsucker skin
3)Do you plan on releasing tutorials on how each class works? How to use the special abilities and what the capabilities of each mutant are? For instance, when I equip the invisibility for the Bloodsuckers, it doesn't seem to have any actual affect on my stealth.
Hello, reeceshugrue.
I am pleased to hear that you enjoy this new mod. It certainly motivates me to make future updates for this mod, all of which will be optional and can be downloaded via the same link as before.
I did have some concerns regarding the skins: for instance, the Pseudogiant is a reskinned gillie suit, and the Bloodsucker (as you had pointed out) is a low-resolution soldier skin. I am looking for ways in which these skins can be improved, especially since I am yet to learn about how to edit .ogf (mesh model) files and assign textures to them.
As for you final point, I am looking into adding sounds to each class to boost that immersion factor and make each class feel even more unique. More abilities and attacks are also yet to come, too.
As for the invisible Bloodsucker skin, I am unsure on how to allow this outfit to make the player more stealthy, but I may increase the bullet resistance of this skin to simulate enemies' bullets missing the player often if I am unsuccessful in this area.
Once again, I am thankful that you are enjoying this new mod. Keep the comments and feedback coming, stalker. Happy hunting. :)
2)The default Bloodsucker skin isn't actually a bloodsucker at all. It's an extremely low res soldier.***
One last thing(and I'm sorry for filling up the comments so much, Edit doesn't seem to work), but I think the addition of a Bloodsucker's roar whenever you do a heavy melee attack would be really cool. :)
please make it for 1.5r6
I may make this mod compatible for 1.5R6, though I am currently in the process of typing up an article for the next patch (patch v1.01). If you require any assistance with installing this mod with CoC 1.4.22, feel free to consult me. Best of luck. :)
can you go invisible as a bloodsucker?
Hello, there.
As a Bloodsucker, you can use a skin that simulates invisibility, though I am yet to add a feature where the player goes invisible while this skin is equipped. For the time being, I may make this skin give the player increased resistance to bullet damage to simulate other stalkers struggling to pinpoint your exact location as an "invisible" Bloodsucker.
I hope this helps. :)
Is it still active in development?
That's correct. :)

I wonder if there exist some addon which adds a muntants locations on global map in PDA (function like that from Clear Sky, was somelike useful, would be even more useful if there were the monster trophies from SoC). I mean I want to hunt mutants but I don't really know how to effectively find them (somelike I feel the spawn rate is low, I increased it but still - more intelectual living beings, less animals to shot).
Crash
