Getting tired of the same old "MIDI" music? Is "Doom Metal" not enough for your gaming experience? Do you desire music tracks that has a pinch of heavy metal, a quarter of techno, and a side of progressive rock? Then, I present to you "BRUTAL DOOM JET BLACK ANGST SOUNDTRACK"
In this modification, I took the liberty to modify some background music to give the game "angst-filled" look, which reflects the atmosphere of every level maps that you play. The tracks featured in this modification are taken from OverClocked Remix, Enhanced Classic Doom Music mod, and from other video games, notably Black Mesa and Call of Duty. It still features some memorable “Doom Metal" tracks, so fear not to those who still admire "Doom Metal".
This modification only contains tracks intended for Ultimate Doom. Doom II: Hell on Earth music modification is uploaded separately in the "addons" section.
To those who are new in installing this, do refer to the "Read Me" text, which is included in the .zip file. Credits list and disclaimer are also included in the "Read Me" text file.
Any feedback or suggestions, have the liberty to post on my comments section. I would be delighted to hear any words from you.
NOW RIP AND TEAR!
Pretty ******* awesome picture, and the size is small! Finally! I'll check this out now, it sounds really amazing!
Your words honour my well-being, good sir!
So I played it, and it is AWESOME!!! I love every track, listened to them in SLADE! Also played them in-game, and it fits perfectly!
10/10!
For sure an amazing addition to the musical mods for the game. Maybe you should try your hand and some TNT? TNT, sadly, has been left out of the primary loop of musical modifications, and after hearing this, I want to see what else you can do...
Oh, thank you for your positive reaction in my music addon. And to answer your question, yes, I will make TNT tracks, along with that of Plutonia Experiment. I might as well make custom sound effects for the monsters and weapons. However, I am a busy man because... Well, let's just say I need to do some "personal chores". Once again, thank you for admiring my music modification.
I have to say, some tracks sound so similar to the ones that I've used for the music mod that I posted Moddb.com
Still, there are new tracks that I have no idea where you got them from, but they sound pretty good IMO.
EDIT: Yup, you did better with making the credits than me. lol
I like this. Listening to it while I work on my brutal doom overhaul (:
I am delighted that you like it.Good luck with your work, Sir!
Doesn't suck. Thumbs-up.
You know what? TWO thumbs up because OCRemix.
Hear, hear!
My dear space marines, I have an announcement to make:
I am almost done with my Final Doom: TNT Evilution Jet Black Angst Soundtrack. However, I need to do some little polishing job to my tracks. In other words, I have to test them to see if it fits the map environment. To those who can not wait to listen for this freshly-made music modification, please be more patient.
As soon as I am done with my custom TNT Evilution music modification, I need to focus on my other "projects" (they're kinda personal, and no, they're not Doom-related)... and I need to accomplish them, otherwise I am literally "Doom"ed.
As for the Plutonia music addon, I will modify them as soon as I am done with my other "projects". I promise you that. So no need to ask me if I will make a music modification for Plutonia Experiment. Anyways, thanks for your positive reactions towards my custom background music soundtracks.
Peace out, marines!
Your lunatic hound,
-JetBlackAngst
This is realy ******* nice! I love it!
This is a pretty decent music compilation but my only complaint is there are too many remixes (as opposed to covers) and songs that sound shorter than the intended songs (IE E2M4, E3M5). It just sounds weird to me if the Doom tunes are not covers and of similar length most of the time for me.
7/10
Coincidentally, D_E3M5 reminds me of a remixed version of the music you hear when you complete a round in Black Ops 1 Zombies. Listen to the beginning and the ending carefully.
Good sir, if you read the description again, I did mentioned that some tracks (the ones that are far from being Doom soundtrack covers) are based from various video games, namely Black Mesa, and Call of Duty. If these tracks aren't useful for your demon-killing business, as well as some tracks "being short", I apologise for that inconvenience. Thank you for your remark.
I realy like the intermision music on this music mod, can you give the link for download it?
Well, yurichi, the intermission music featured in my music modification is taken from Black Mesa Soundtrack, entitled "We've Got Hostiles". Here is the link:
You're welcome.
Thank you ^_^
ANNOUNCEMENT:
My bloodlust brothers,
I would like to happily inform you that the other half of my "Final Doom Jet Black Angst Soundtrack" is in development. Indeed, I am referring to Plutonia Experiment music modification. I would like to express my appreciation for your patience regarding this matter. Now that I had a break from making my "personal projects", I am currently working for this last music enhancement modification of mine. I would like to give you thanks for downloading, commenting, or even appreciating my first set of addons.
Now if you don't mind, I need to finish this upcoming project.
Your lunatic Pinky,
JetBlackAngst
holy ****, this music pack rocks in so many levels:
the dark side of phobos
classic doom 3
ah, so bad *** :D
i see what you did there, the intermission song is "we've got hostiles" from Black Mesa, and E3M8 Is "Surface Tension 3" from the same game, they still sound great in a mod like brutal doom, awesome
10/10 :D
Lo, a Black Mesa fanatic! Nevertheless, I appreciate your positive remarks regarding my Doom music modification. You might as well check my other addons, including my custom Final Doom soundtrack volumes 1 and 2.
I absolutely love Vol. 1, but I prefer the Brutal Doom Metal Vol. 4 over Vol. 2 of this mod... :(
- Sigfried
I understand your music preference. Nonetheless, thank you for patronising the first volume of my custom music modification.
How to install this? Put this in skins folder do not work (use zandronum still oryginal music is play)
Oh, I see. All you have to do is to drag it in the skins folder. That is all. That pack should work without chanting a Latin phrase... I have a question: did you install any music modification besides my custom music addon? Especially custom music packs intended for Final Doom? If yes, that must be the problem... I am also using Zandronum myself but mine works without encountering any problems...
Ok it works vol 1 is for doom 1 and vol 2 for doom 2.
Oh, nothing to be anxious about then.
