Did you feel that it would be nice if Anomaly would have some more dynamic tasks, with detailed, lore-friendly flavour texts? If there would be someone, who are actually interested in all those "unused" mutant parts? Both as hunting trophies and scientific specimen? What if there would be a new kind of task template which encourages you about exploration? And what if assassination and eliminate camp quest would REALLY require you to be the one who ACTUALLY eliminates the target? If you are interested, then hop on! The task train departs now!

I plan to release more quests in this manner in the future. This pack is the first step only!
New quests:
6 new quests for Butcher, 4 of them available for experienced stalkers only (starting from rank experienced and above)
4 new quests for Sakharov, 2 of them available for experienced stalkers only (starting from rank experienced and above)
1 new quest for Fanatic
New "Scout the area" quests:
8 factions (Loners, Bandits, Army, Mercs, Duty, Freedom, Clear Sky, Monolith) will give a faction specific Scout task for faction members only! These tasks are about scouting an area for the faction. Designed to add a new kind of quest template which encourages exploration. It is optimal for hobos and iron man players, because this tasks can be solved without killing, but gives some basic money still. These tasks will ask you to go through a path, with 2-4 different possibilities per quest, including going to a different map. Also with this mechanism I wanted to encourage visiting maps which are not visited so often for various reasons.
Every one of my new quests will reward additional items randomly, based on the NPC/Faction who gave the task.
- Butcher will reward cooking and hunting equipment
- Sakharov will reward medicine and scientific items
- Fatanic will reward some light drink/useful junk items
- Scout item rewards will vary based on the faction. Mostly ammunition, medical items, water, etc.
Also, I put a considerable effort into solving this "take the quest, sleep a bit then go for the reward" exploits. As optional files, this solution can be applied. I wrote script will complete the Assassination and Eliminate Camp quests only, if the player's squad REALLY had to do something with it. If it wasn't you or your squad who killed your bounty, then the task fails. For eliminate camp tasks, you have to kill one squad member (NPC or mutant) at least for the task for succeed. With this modification, you should really make sure, that you solve the task as fast as possible, before someone else do it instead. Eliminate camp tasks has an internal timer (This is the explanation, why did you completed the tasks, when you just went sleep after accepting it... Now you will fail it automatically with this "trick".) Also target tracking was removed, of the NPC or mutant runs away too far away. I felt it too cheesy. They will return if you stay quiet for a while anyways. This option is intended for people who like realism and challenge, or just do not want to use exploits, which is really difficult with the current task system... Use this option ONLY, if you wish for an experience like this. These scripts will do a real crime scene investigation, trying to frame the player all means possible! handling situations where the target dies by friendly fire or by his own grenade while fighting the player's squad.
Wolf had some changes too. He will give his "escort the rookies to hunt" quest only, if the player has the rank "experienced" or above, and has positive reputation. Why would he entrust the rookies to anyone who is inecperienced/a rookie himself, and shady? Also the rookies will be real rookies now. There will be no "NBC suit with AK rookies" in that quest.
Installation:
Extract the gamedata folder into your anomaly folder. This task pack is saved game friendly, no new game is required!
If you want to install the realistic Assault/Elimination and Assassination task scripts, extract the content of the "OPTIONAL_RealisticAssassinationAndAssaultTasks" into your Anomaly folder. CAUTION! THIS WILL BREAK EVERY ONGOING ASSAULT/ELIMINATION AND ASSASSINATION TASKS!!! It does not require a new game, but MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY ONGOING ASSAULT/ELIMINATION OR ASSASSINATION!!! If you have, the tasks will fail, and the game might even crash. New game is recommended, but not mandatory! Please read above what these scripts do to make sure if you want them! These scripts will make the game more challenging!
Compatibility patch is available for GhenTuong Tasks Pack v2! If you wish to install it, extract the content of the folder "COMPATIBILITY_GhenTuong_Tasks_Pack_v2" into your Anomaly folder. INSTALL THIS PATCH ONLY IF YOU USE GhenTuong Tasks Pack v2! Order of the installation: Install my addon, THEN install GhenTuong Tasks Pack v2, THEN install the compatibility patch!

It might happen. I will concentrate on some non task related projects now, but I will definitely do more stuff regarding tasks later.

any new quests for the faction mechanic / doctor? would be nice to be able to do quests beside "gibe me that toolkit"
maybe give doc some fetch quests based on medical item, f.e. empty syringes, plastic jars, etc...
same for mechanic, he could ask you for specific gun parts, etc...
what about guarding courier mission, basicly like freeing the hostage but insteat of killing any stalker the courier always spawns in a friendly allied base or another outpost of the same faction
Not at the moment. In the future I want to do more quest-related stuff, but now I am busy with some big projects.
Check GhenTuong Tasks Pack v2 - high risk-high reward quests from docs and technicians (you can get new nice weapons or artifacts).
But wait for the patch, it may not be compatible with this addon.

What is EFT overhaul? Could you link it please? If my addon does not everwrite anything, then it is compatible. On the otherhand, as long as just .ltx files are affected, they can be merged easily.

Seems to be okay. The next time if you are not sure about compatibility, just make a temporary save of your gamedata folder, install the addon, and if it does not try to overwrite anything, you should be fine.

Edit: I noticed however that this overwrites two files from my trader overhaul. the character description for Escape and Bar. I fixed them for my game but I might have to add a patch for that to my addon.

Found them, they are part of an optional version, called "Neutral Traders".
Yeah, it's in regards to the character_desc_ files... So it only matters if your using that feature... It's an easy fix honestly.
Thank you! To tell you the truth, it is become difficult for me to keep compatibility between my mods even... The time approaches when I have to start releasing addon packs. With a UI possibly.
Sadly, that is true. I try to avoid using any of the addons that make major conflicts with others but that's starting to become harder considering some of the great ones out there.

Possible for future task , to have one that uses laboratory, as i think those area are very underused
I agree. I want to use the labs, but the difficult things is, they are so overvisited lore-wise already, that it is difficult to come up with anything which could lead the player there. They are completely looted already. I might have some ideas, but I will require my mutant overhauls for those ones (which are still in progress).
Well those place could be visited again for mutant hunting and labs docs or device ( you could create quest like recover scientific device you already did but inside laboratory and such)
Maybe agroprom would be completely looted, but npc mention to absolutely avoid underground area due to mutant, even the loading tips warn you about this, so labs could still have some interest for ecologist faction especially the on more on the north hell for scenario sake being close to site of experiment , anomaly could be different from surface area and being of interest for ecologist. And even so labs always give this particuliar atmosphere and challenge
Though it must be high reward as going there is very dangerous and require prepartion before hand :)

I was experimenting with it already. Squad mates for the player is an unnecessarily complicated topic even with normal NPCs, it will require a lot of time to make it work if it is possible at all... I will do more experiments, but can not promise anything.

Wow. That could be a gamechanger. Always find annoying that doc and Noah got their doggos and puppies.
Also, not related but if anyone knows how to change the middle mouse button for quick companion orders, cause I use it for my flashlight. So I don't really use a companion and some times that's a big no, specially since the mod for unused mutants.
A doggo could be QOL improvement. Very exciting
I hope I can do something about it. So far I am working on a really big and complex project, and the dog one will be a really complex one too, if it is possible to do it (engine limitations...) But I definitely want to have a dog! :D
Wow seems like you did another great addon. Good work! I will test it out asap. I am mostly curious for more mutant overhauls that add more diversity to the different mutants instead of the mostly "run and melee" or "run and shoot". Good luck on that - so far you've done some really neat stuff here! Thank you!
Thank you man! :) There is a long way to go with the mutants still, because I have to change a lot of collateral things, like spawns with them. But I am having a good progress now I think.

I'm still having those crashes. Initially I thought it had to do with me having an active "clear an area" task in progress, but I've just finished it and the crash still happens whenever I load a save game.
This is the crash argument:
