Replaces AO3 weapons sounds with more "realistic" ones, at least that was my aim. Video will come when i replace all the sounds, a few like bizon and svd are missing since i quite like the SVD sound as it is. Includes suppressor and bulletcrack/bulletwhiz sounds as well.
Arsenal Overhaul 3 Insurgency Sound Mod beta v1 ported by Brankovich
//Introduction
A simple sound mod i created while i was bored. It *should* sound like the movie Heat since that was the aim. Sounds were taken from various sources, but majority of them from the Insurgency mod "Realistic Urban Weapon Sounds 1.5" by Porpeta Voraz *COTA* so all credit to the people who actually recorded these. They aren't really high quality since Stalker doesn't support stereo sound.
//Installation
unzip and overrite you gamedata. Some weapons needed custom configs for sounds to work, and since smarch's configs replace ltx's, i've made 2 versions, one for his mod and one for vanilla AO.
Make backups of your sounds folder first please.

"They aren't really high quality since Stalker doesn't support stereo sound". CS and COP does support stereo sound. I thought COC supported it.
I mean sure it does, but the directional sound feature doesnt work in stereo, at least that's what ive been told
Installed it, but it keeps crashing. Files or lines missing etc. Fix one problem, but there are still more and more.
Huh can you give me a log what files/lines are missing? Thought i tested it properly
I installed it like you said and it didn't work, kept crashing because it was missing files. I got it to work when I only copied the .ogg files without the configs folder.
the gun sounds are too quiet. any fix?
Tell me please. how do I install this mod with other weapon add-ons (like smarch's config) if it (why?) affects the config file of the weapon.
Sounds seems to be working for npcs only. Shoot sounds dont changed to me but reload ones do.
Greetings. First off, awesome work, the sounds are superb. I'd like to report, however, that during the reload animation for pistols, everything but the sound of the slide release plays. I checked the .ogg and the sound is there, but I do not hear it in the game. Have you any idea what could be causing this? Cheers.
Yo my dude some of these sound good, but most of them are way too silent, as in they don't have enough volume.

I'm not even sure if I'll get a response since this mod is so old now, but I think it's really crappy that the AO3 weapon sounds can only be heard from the npc's. It's extremely anoying since this is the only real good sound mod for AO3 as far as I can tell. Is there anyway to fix this issue? I'd really like to know... EDIT: Actually never mind. This mod isn't that great anyway no offense. after a bit of tweaking with your awkward sound files I got it to work! But it turns out you made the gun shots, way to damn quiet. That's something I can't fix, so. If anyone is wondering and reading comments. Don't waste your time on this mod.
