For who using OUTFIT ATTACHMENT OVERHAUL just add this in to the scripts file.

This could actually be a good animation for suit repairs too.
Maybe a reverse animation of the player taking the shot up ballistic plate out and then adding back a new one. (vanilla suits should have ballistic plates too, otherwise the huge weight could not be explained)

Nice to see a new animator here :). I patiently await the day when we'll have quality animations for all items.

animation does not trigger for several ballistic plates which come with outfit attachment overhaul. do you plan to make a patch?

My pc is not high end, and it lags when it first try to 'fetch' the animation or sound idk, i recall FDDA solved this fetch lags by prefetching stuff somehow.

Is this or will this be compatible with Gamma?

Great mod but it has no sound for me, is there a way to fix this? Playing on GAMMA if that helps.

Great animation. Unfortunately the sound doesn't work. I even tried to install this on a fresh copy of the game without my mod list loaded and the sound still didn't play.

Encountered one strange minor issue.
The sound when playing the plate insert animation for some reason specifically does not work in Cordon yet works fine everywhere else outside of this region.
I've tried playing it from the Great Swamps to the Red Forest - even in some of the underground laboratories and it works just fine; yet the sound file specifically refuses to play in Cordon proper.
Overall it's not a deal breaker I was just curious if you had any insights as to why.

You can enable animations for the new plates from outfit attachments overhaul by opening the gamedata/scripts/plate_anim.script and then using this for the anm_item_sec section:
