Gamescom 2016
, the next biggest gaming trade show after E3, is less than a month away, and it’s going to be a big time for the VR industry. With the PlayStation VR due for release just a few months afterward, and the Oculus and HTC Vive having a few months on the shelf behind them, we’re bound to see a number of new VR titles being announced.

We’re also likely to see more of existing VR games than we did at E3 earlier this year, as will be the case with Ubisoft. The publisher has announced that it will be bringing two of its VR experiences to Gamescom: Eagle Flight, and Star Trek Bridge Crew. The former was revealed toward the end of last year, while the latter only announced at E3.

Eagle Flight is a multiplayer action game in which you control an eagle and soar through the streets of a post-apocalyptic Paris. Star Trek Bridge Crew, on the other hand, is a multiplayer starship bridge simulation in which players must communicate with one another and perform tasks from each of their stations, such as engineering and navigation.

Ubisoft’s EMEA executive director, Alain Corre, said in a quote to VRFocus:

“Gamescom is a key moment for the industry and for our teams. The show gives us the opportunity to put our games into thousands of players’ hands and get their feedback to make them even better. It’s also the place where Ubisoft can showcase the innovations that are driving the industry in terms of gameplay and technology, and the variety of amazing experiences these allow us to create.”

Gamescom takes place in Cologne, Germany from August 17 through to August 21.
