Relive the glory days of Micromachines tabletop racing in this easy to play but hard to master fun car game.

Posted by INtense! on Apr 17th, 2011

Toy Cars is a top-down racing game developed for the PC and XBox Live Indie Games. It's been conceived as both a homage and an evolution of classic top-down arcade racers. In it players control pocket-sized vehicles around table-top tracks built from all manner of everyday objects.

It partly indeed looks like a full remake of micro machines! Interesting idea!

However, I personally dislike the sound effects :)

it is so awesome, I had a blast testing and playing this game. The opponents are quite aggressive which makes it challenging to get a good racing line.

Ah! It brings back some memories on the Playstation 1, I had a game like this called micro racers I think.

However, it just goes to show, graphics still can't make/break games this days... Maybe if the producers started looking at game mechanics over other necessities, maybe we'd all get stabler and more fun games. :D

Looks good, I'm going to pick it up for the 360, though. Multiplayer is better if it's not on a laptop!

Micro machines truly was an epic childhood game for me. Im glad you have paid homage to it. I remember all too well the 1v1 tank battles against my bro.
