I shall begin this post on a rather serious note. That is that recently, a few bogus mods pointing to spam sites have been submitted. Thankfully this site runs an authorisation system and hence any such mods shall be deleted immediatly and generally the user banned saving everyone from seeing them. So the few out there trying this I can assure you your attempts are futile :)
News Submissions
Anybody registered at the modDB can submit news, which will be posted on the main page! (Infact we activly encourage you to.) So you get exposure in front of the many mod lovers passing through this site! Like the mod authorisation system, before any news is shown it is checked. So all we ask is that you do not abuse this privledge, post relevant mod news which includes a link and is longer than 1 line, and I can assure you it will be shown to all!
HuntEr's Welcome
I have been pretty much the main tester for this site from its first line of code, and from what I saw (it was rather shabby, reminisant of a geocities style site - j/k) it was amazing. The amount of interaction between members, modifications and games is outstanding. With the forum expected within 3~4 weeks, that interaction will hopefully double.
We want more mods, from other games. We realise there are many HL mods and we embrace them all as we endevour to list every mod in existence however that is changing with a few mods from other games popping up, so keep them coming!
Also, some wicked looking custom titles are getting sent in, so keep them coming. Nothing better than a new look site every page which pimps a random mod :P
