The Frontline Force modification have updated thier site with some new information on version 1.8. Here's a brief run down in points of what is planned to be included:
*A revised map list, which will remove less popular maps but make the FLF files smaller for 56k users.
*A new support class, the support will now have a KSP90 that will boast a high rate of fire, but low damage.
*Code reduction and optimization, by removing legacy Front Line Force and Half-Life code (say, for instance, the code for the DM crossbow...), the size of the server.dll has been dropped by about 100k.
*Various bug fixes.
*A weather system, this includes rain, snow, lightning, thunder, splashes and ripples in the water.

we decided to skip 1.8 and head right for 2.0 as you may have already heard. 2.0 production is steady, and is planned to be the best flf release, EVER. =D
