Eternals of Paladius

An organization founded by Lok, former Sith Lord. This represents the Force-sensitive component of the Nexus military. Eternals are powerful combatants, and there are only twenty allowed at one time. Though, as the Nexus Enclave grows, this number may go up as well.

Eternals use both the Light and the Dark Sides of the Force, though they are known to lean more towards the Dark Side. However, their teachings explain that the Dark Side is dangerous, and that one should never fully give themselves to it lest they forfeit their free will.

Rumour has it they are called Eternals for the fact that they have discovered the secret to immortality, or at the very least are searching for that secret. Only the Eternals themselves are privy to this secret, and they are not fond of sharing with the unworthy.

While the fact that they rely on the Dark Side puts them at odds with the Abiters of Dai, they do not hold any ill will to them, this is due to the leaders of both groups being on friendly terms and the protection of the Emperor himself. They are only concerned with attaining power that can be truly controlled, which does not corrupt the heart, and to defend the Nexus Enclave, which granted them legitimacy and protection. However, any who get in the way of their goal will find themselves facing the full might of the Eternals

Code of Eternity
The Dark Side which forged our Strength,
Forged the strength of our Chains.

No longer shall we give up our will,
To delusions and falsehoods of Power.

True Power is that which we control,
Not that which controls us.

We shall ascend to New Heights,
Our Duty is Eternal.

Guard

Citizens of the Nexus Enclave, enslaved by the Eternals of Paladius. These men and women will defend the Eternal Temple to the last. They utilise blasters and vibroswords and are encased in a thick suit of crimson armour.

Note: Not actually enslaved citizens.

Hopeful

These acolytes of the Order are Force-sensitives training in the hopes of becoming an Eternal, hence the name "Hopeful" for only the chosen few can aspire to become Eternal. Their skill with the Force varies greatly between one Hopeful and the next. This is also true for whether or not they wield a real lightsaber or a trainingsaber.

Eternal

As a result of training to resist losing themselves to the Dark Side, their minds have become bulwarks against any kind of mental attack. They can serve many roles, including in special operations, as commanders and as bodyguards to those at the top of the Nexus Enclave. They are experts in the intricacies of the Force and Lightsaber combat.

Lord Eternal

 alt=

Only the most experienced, powerful, wise and intelligent Eternal can hope to one day become Lord Eternal, a Lord Eternal is the living embodiment of balance in the Force or so the saying goes. Extremely gifted with the Force, the Lord Eternal is the unquestioned leader of the Eternals of Paladius and commands it along its path.

In battle a Lord Eternal is without equal, its Lightsaber mastery and command of the Force allow the Lord Eternal to decide the outcome of battle single-handedly and immediately, it is then not a surprise that many compare a Lord Eternal to God-like figures and legends of old.

For the power of a Lord Eternal is what one expects to find in myths.

The presence of a Lord Eternal spells great events are unfolding.

I'm wondering where you managed to get 20 such individuals. Unless they're all Hopefuls then I would really like to know how a recently created faction has Force Users just as skilled and powerful as Jedi or Sith who are completely loyal to a faction that emerged a week or so ago.

If it is just Lok and 19 other Hopefuls then fine. If by 20 Eternals you actually mean 20 people who have the rank of Eternal then that is ridiculous, since all "professional" Force Users in the Galaxy are a part of the Jedi Order and the Sith Order, and the remaining few probably just want to be left alone. You can't just pull expert Force Users out of nowhere.

The faction, from what I understand, existed for months in secret.

Lok managed to found and train this organization while he was still within the Sith Order?

So long as I don't have to face "God-like figures and legends of old" then fine. The reason I bring this up is because they sound like they are superior to Jedi/Sith, and while that may be rhetoric I do want to make this clear now so we can avoid problems in the future.

My guess is that they're recruits Lok found within the Sith Order who perhaps took some issue with it. They are more aligned towards the dark than the light. But these Eternals aren't any more powerful than a Jedi Master or a Sith Lord, I'd say.

Can he just steal recruits from the Order because he says that he can? A few, perhaps, but 20 would be a tremendous amount.

I hope you mean Lord Eternals are equal to Jedi Masters/Sith Lords, because that's what I understand from it. Again, I just wanted the clarification because I don't feel like going up against 20 god like figures who just appeared out of nowhere.

thats what i'm following,
problem with that is while they would have their sith training with them, the eternals training would only have started a few months ago. I can understand dixit ten why it sounds a bit powerfull for such a young faction.

Well, Jedi and Sith are sometimes viewed as deities due to their command of the Force. The "god-like" descriptor was for the Lord Eternal, and the current Lord Eternal is Lok.

Honestly, these guys just seem like fancifully-named Grey Jedi...

xD

They're Grey Sith.

Anyway, Lord Eternal is more akin to Grand Master or Dark Lord. It's Pain, not an actual deity and it's added there for comedic effect and flavour text, otherwise each unit would have exactly a single line of text.

As for stealing members, he is the last Sith pureblood and the most active Sith agent there was in months. I'm pretty sure that if he didn't have a cult following, he'd at least have the grudging respect of a lot of members. As for the power of the Eternals, I cannot say anything about that.

No mention of such a cult was ever made, nor was there an event that explained why or who left the Sith Order to join the Eternals. Apart from the fancy name and potential loyalty to Lok (since when were Sith loyal to anyone but themselves?) you offer nothing that they could not get from the Sith Order to begin with. Like I said, a couple could desert but 20 is a huge amount. There are only like 500 Sith remaining and you just took almost 5% and have no reason or build up to it.

Just to clarify any talk of enslavement is clearly a comical addition made by Milos no actual acts of slavery happen within the Enclave

If its only 20, out of a supposed 500 Sith. Then I don't see much of a problem.

Had there only a 100 Sith total (known Sith anyway), or had it been 20 Sith Lords, then I would have thought differently.

That said, in response to the article overall, "Grey" my ***, looks like Sith and sounds like Sith. xD
