Here's what really happened during this incident....

If you weren't aware about what happened, here's a recap about the events...

A few days ago i wanted to release an improved and enhanced version of HITMAN camera mod into one package, not only to avoid mod conflicting between mods but also as a first start into learning how to mod HITMAN 3.

However i went too fast and i wasn't aware of the permissions system regarding mods or else i would've waited before releasing my mod and ask nicely the authors of it if they allow me to edit it or not.

So i went to the mod authors and asked them nicely a permission to edit their mod and release it crediting them and their work, but all i received was contempt and condescention from them and other members of the community, accusing me wrongly of bad behaviour.

Instead of being rude and accusing me of non-existent copyright issues, you could've explained all of this to me, and the issue would've been resolved without any problems. But you preferred being condescendant and mean. I'll remember that attitude for sure.

I didn't intend to "steal" their work on any way. This was my first mod and all i wanted was to learn how it works and contribute to this modding community by trying to improve an existing mod. Everybody makes mistakes but it doesn't seem to happen for those guys.

As i explained before, it was my first mod and i was learning how it works.

If i knew that it should require permissions before doing so, i would've done it without any hesitation.

All i wanted was to test how HITMAN modding works, and trying to improve already existing mods was an ideal way of getting started into modding.

However i didn't know the protocol and i tried to ask the mod owners nicely about permissions then, but i only received hate and condescending.

I'm a content creator so be sure that i'm very worried about rights and everything related. I just didn't know that modding required additional permissions before being allowed to do anything.

I don't want to steal their stuff or say that it was mine. I just want to learn how to mod in HITMAN and trying to do stuff and things.

The lesson is learned now, and we can move on onto better and more interesting things hopefully.

I expected more welcoming and kindness from the community, especially from people who are smart enough to make such mods and programs and know how to treat others with respect.

I hope that in the future i will meet better people who treats others with respect and are here to help each other instead of being rude.

As to myself i'm looking forward to improve and make better mods in the future. HITMAN modding possibilities are big and we have a lot of talented people and tools around to play with.

Please behave better than those people. You are worth better than that.

Thank you to all the people who were nice and welcoming and thank you for reading me.
Don't hesitate to share that story and stay tuned for upcoming mods :)

Cheers!
