Hi there. In case you are wondering who I am; I am the guy who a few years back decided that Battletanks 2 should be added to ModDB.com, and added it to the list. That was a long time ago for me.

Hi there.

In case you are wondering who I am; I am the guy who a few years back decided that Battletanks 2 should be added to ModDB.com, and added it to the list.

That was a long time ago for me.

I rarely visit ModDB because my time is taken up elsewhere, and ModDB doesn't notify me by email very often. (If it did, I would be replying within an hour or two)
It's very unfortunate that I do not contribute more to the modding of this game, it is a great game, and some of you have made a great deal more progress in modifying the game than I ever did.(Namely the ability to add new tank models, and creating maps that work)

I'd just quickly like to thank TankaTed, musicamentek, lokoeuxd, and all of whom which have contributed, including our entire development team..
You all have really helped improve the activity and modding for this game.
(Looking at the stats, everytime you guys made a video (Or that tutorial) the visitor count jumped up a great deal, and has slowly been rising, and all of that creative content that shows the devotion and hard work you guys put into this limited game)

While I do not contribute much. I'd like to commend all of you for doing so.
I'm really glad that you guys have made so much progress.

As far as I am aware we are able to
1. Add and modify tank models, and static world models.
2. Change graphics such as the hud.
3. Modify the menu layout and hierarchy. (Possible with AlphaGUI)
4. Add and modify sound effects and music.
5. Create maps

Ideally the features we want that have not been figured out yet.
(These features will probably be impossible without the source code)
1. CecilFF4fan is eager to add boats.
2. Improved graphics.
3. Lupus_of_nox_noctis mentioned porting the game to a different engine such as UDK, and adding multiplayer.

If anyone wants to try figure out any of those, go ahead.
I will point that adding something such as multiplayer is a lot harder than it sounds, unless you port the game, which in itself is a challenge.


Anyway, I just felt like saying something.

If you guys need a hand with anything, I might be able to help.
I'm very busy, and I get bored or distracted often; so I can't really make any promises, especially for longer projects.
(If you notice, both the mods I started never made much progress)

I can help with graphic designs, basic textures, and 3D modeling (DeviantArt)
I can help with music, video, and sound; although I'm not very good (YouTube Account)
As I said I'm very busy, but I will try pitch in if you need it.

I won't get a notification if you comment, and I only sometimes get notifications for private messages.

Our dev team have all made important contributions.

I'm going to make this game active again. As I have before. Probably upload units, maps, and other stuff. Musicmentek's tutorial will definitely help for adding more factions.
