Hello Zero Hour: Unleashed fans!

Today I bring you a Mini Media Update. This update will reveal the nature and cameo of the basic infantry replacements for two sides.

Airborne Infantry Cameo

First, the Airborne Infantry. This soldier will feature as General Granger's primary infantry. It is cheaper than the Ranger, and slightly faster, though this comes at the cost of armour. It is armed with an MP7 assault submachinegun, which has a shorter range and lower damage per shot than the Ranger's XM8 but has a 30 round clip at full-auto firemode. It can also throw fragmentation grenades, which are effective only vs. infantry and have decent AoE. They are typical fast-attack soldiers, capable of making hit-and-run attacks and quickly securing undefended areas. They are, of course, very effective when airdropped.

Assault Trooper cameo

Second, General Tao's Chicken Assault Trooper. This is Tao's Red Guard AND Tank Hunter replacement! Armed with a QLB06 man-portable grenade launcher, they can fire high-explosive grenades at ground targets, engaging both infantry and vehicles with good effectiveness. However, the tradeoff is that it is slightly slower and more expensive than the Red Guard, and of course it cannot fire on air targets, nor do the grenades track their targets.

That's all for now. Strategia, out.

No O_o The Assault Trooper is a general-purpose all-round combat unit, it's pretty powerful actually. It just can't engage aircraft, for which he has the Air Guard, which is a soldier he shares with Fai so that should tell you that it's a quality replacement.

Look at it this way: Formerly, his inf was split between anti-infantry and anti-tank/anti-air. Now his inf is split between anti-inf/anti-tank and anti-air.

Plus, he'll get many more goodies, so his armies are anything but weak.
