Wolfenstein Reloaded:

Six episodes with 10 maps each. 12 Bosses and 6 secret levels to find.

New features include:

- Rifle grenade
- Carrying bodies
- Guards getting into barracks getting help

Requires two files from the original full version of Wolfenstein-3D:

Project history:

Megabyte started this as a mere graphical update to the original Wolfenstein, at that time I was not involved at all. Later on he wanted to have floor/ceiling textures, then I got involved with the project to do some minor changes. I was experimenting with some of my own stuff, which actually I never got to work, and I almost left the project. Luckily I just abandoned the idea, and started working on some more important things on the project. I was still not "officially" the coder. That gave me time to experiment more on my own with the original wolf, this stuff actually worked and (without going into details here), was added into the game. Since then I have been fine tuning the weapons and gameplay elements to balance the game experience, while Megabyte working on the maps and textures. A long while later, I decided that I will try to draw the weapons, since that really isn't Megabyte's area of expertise, so to speak.

I would like to point out that we have mostly original artwork, with all textures 100% unique. WSJ's enemy packs were used because it saved us time, they would've been almost the same anyway. All our graphics used in this mod are freely usable for non-commercial projects, just credit us.

Thanks for your interest in our mod. Also for the record, I'm currently porting this to Wolf4SDL, which is an open-source windows port of Wolfenstein-3D and Spear of Destiny.

About Dave, I've put him behind me. He came to me for help and I did my best to help him, and you can see his reaction in the comment box.

1. What you liked about in this mod?

I think Wolfenstein Reloaded had lots of good features that weren't in the original game. Textured floors and ceilings, lighting, new weapons and enemies were some of the best additions.

2. What you didn't like or absolutely hated in this mod? and
3. What was the overall difficulty of the mod. (Episode, difficulty setting, guard, ammo, health items).

The difficulty level was a bit too hard but not impossible.

4. How did this mod match your expectations 1 to 5? (Explain, was it a good or a bad thing)

4 = It was quite what I expected.

5. Would you try it again if we renewed all graphics and took better advantage of the new features
in map design?

I probably would, at least if lots of improvements are made.

6. Anything you'd like to add or something we should take account in future projects.

I think a 2D map mode could be a nice feature for this mod.

Thank you, we appreciate the feedback and we're glad you liked it. Also if you like to check out a mod with 2D map, see our homepage. You can find the link on the profile on the right. We made a Wolfenstein mod called Klooni. It requires you to own a copy of Final Doom or Doom II to play (for copyright reasons).

I playtested it with DosBox when we were making it and it worked fine. I suggest you try other mods aswell, because it might be the Wolfenstein engine that is not compatible with your computer.

The problem would be every other mod works fine just yours that's bein' a pain in the arse.
Even when I try different ports, such as winwolf,
which loads EVERY
that exists

... but yours.

Something about initializing audio error or couldn't locate audio files.

So don't ask me.

The exe does not contain standard feature set so it would strike me as odd if it worked with any source port.

Are you sure you have the audio files... (Quoting included readme)
"This requires original AUDIOT.WL6 and AUDIOHED.WL6!"

Codetech84 Feb 11 2008 replied:

You can play mods that don't have any source code changes. Mods that have source code changes might not work. Wolfenstein Reloaded for example has a custom built exe and most features built into it can't be found in source ports. Also graphics aren't in the same position in the file that they are in the standard game and that alone would render most source ports, if not all, unusable. Only way to play is to play the game is running the game executable in Windows, Dos or DosBox.

Lemme restate that
Ports don't work, obviously
Dosbox lags like complete **** and crashes every 5 steps
Comp is to new to use windows to play it
It doesn't even HAVE dos anymore, not even command.

So there ya have it folks, completely useless if ya bought a new comp.
K, bai, thanks for 'trying' to help, somewhat/how
