Krieg und Frieden ist eine Modifikation für das Spiel Victoria 2, wie auch das Grundspiel liegt der Schwerpunkt bei der viktorianischen Epoche. Durch ein neues Startdatum ( 1816 ) und ein neues Enddatum ( 1955 ) so wie vielen neuen Events, Entscheidungen, Technologien und einer überarbeiteten Map wird versucht das Spiel historisch genauer zu machen und den Spielspaß zu steigern.
