News from the Vostroyan Mod. We have decided upon having a full out mapping contest for the public (sorta like the DoWfiles mapping competition going on here), and would like you DoW mappers to join. There are relatively no criteria for being able to join, just have your project in before APRIL 14. We'll choose a winner on a judge panel basis, and the winner (A normal member, of course, not a team member) gets several things: first, their map will be one of the maps used officially as testing maps for all future beta nad alpha releases, and will also have their map released along with the mod, allowing outsiders a chance to play on said map. If you wish it, you will also recieve the status as alpha and beta testers, and again, if you wish it, a position on the mod. We encourage you all to join, even if you're just learning to map. The only thing you need to join is a finished (or what you can finish, you don't absoloutly HAVE to have a minimap, I hear that's pretty hard to do) version of your map, after you've tested it yourself to make sure it works. Just post a Dowload link to it in our official map contest entry thread, and we'll test and judge it from there. Highest place is of course the jolly gift from the Grey Lady of course, but second and third place also will receive a few commandations as well. Second place gets his or her map fetured in the mod, and gets official status as alpha tester. Third recieves a place for there mod as well in the final release. Don't be afraid to stop by and check it out! As for other news, we have been getting together a couple of surprises for you guys. This isn't a media blowout (yet), so I'm keeping it secret, but you're all going to enjoy this big bang of a gift. Well, he couldn't have stated it better. Keep with the basic theme, just nothing desertlike or such. The planet they're fighting on is very cold, and alot is rural and urban. So, keeping that in mind, have at! The sign up topic is within the News secion of our forum, which is Z11.invisionfree.com
