The void is a lack of anything. It is a space waiting to be filled. A canvas waiting to be painted on. The amazing power of modding has changed the way we play games and has opened up entirely new worlds which the original game producers couldn?t have imagined existed. Morrowind, and now Oblivion, is one of the best systems for modding because you can layer as many mods on top of each other as you like. 'The plan with the Void is to start off with an entirely unformed world' ? A big lump of clay as featureless and barren as possible. Designs, plans and guidelines will be posted on this website to show everyone what we?d like to see happen. We will upload the first blank and empty version of the world for everyone to download, then anyone who wishes can add to the world ? Be it a house, a model, a sound or with some landscaping work. We will play all of the mods which are sent in, looking for mods which add to the world most and once we have enough we?ll combine them all into...
We have a small animation for you guys today, hopefully everyone will have the right codec for it. If not I'll post up links to different versions in the Void's profile.http://www.void-oblivion.co.uk/images/armour/Hi_resolution.jpg I've also produced a wallpaper image of the armoury,

I've also produced a wallpaper image of the armoury, this is an early version of what I hope will be a much large image show casing all of our models.
MiideraSect has created for us Hara-Ate and O-Yoroi Armour. We're looking to bring a great deal of detail and authenticity to the world of the Void, so going down to the finest details should help us create a world which is real and detailed, with a depth that makes it look as if it's been lived in for a thousand years. So within reason we'll be modelling as many different layers of armour and types of weaponry as possible in order to give the player choice and individuality.
Since 2002 we have explored, played and enjoyed mods of all shapes and sizes just like Void-Oblivion. We love games like Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion that have opened themselves up to modding. Because of communities like Workshop, Nexus, Curse, RTSL, GameBanana and Mod DB, more games support modding today than ever before.
Let's celebrate modding
As mods play a bigger role in the future of gaming, we believe it is important to recognize the effort the teams behind the work put in, giving us countless hours of enjoyment while asking nothing in return. We have the power to change our games and that needs to be celebrated to ensure it remains a big part of PC gaming's future.
It all started
In 2015, when the paid modding dispute left many gamers and modders worried about the direction the industry is headed. Things have since settled down, but we believe it is important to continue this small tradition to show we are not alone in our love for mods, and the open platforms that embrace them.
Mod Appreciation Week
Nothing is more motivating than knowing something you've built is being enjoyed by others. So this week if there is a mod you love on Mod DB (or anywhere else), make the effort to shout out to them, mention and link their mod in a tweet, blog, forum or facebook post with the hashtag #modlove2016 (or click the icons above for a pre-built post).
