The void is a lack of anything. It is a space waiting to be filled. A canvas waiting to be painted on. The amazing power of modding has changed the way we play games and has opened up entirely new worlds which the original game producers couldn?t have imagined existed. Morrowind, and now Oblivion, is one of the best systems for modding because you can layer as many mods on top of each other as you like. 'The plan with the Void is to start off with an entirely unformed world' ? A big lump of clay as featureless and barren as possible. Designs, plans and guidelines will be posted on this website to show everyone what we?d like to see happen. We will upload the first blank and empty version of the world for everyone to download, then anyone who wishes can add to the world ? Be it a house, a model, a sound or with some landscaping work. We will play all of the mods which are sent in, looking for mods which add to the world most and once we have enough we?ll combine them all into...

Hi there. We would like to present some of our new models, that we have avaiable in game - a Toshodaiji temple, a hall, a shrine house and Pagoda. Those (except Toshodaiji) are textured by Corthian from Akavir team, I (Mirrored) did the collisioning. Here are some shots: There are more models to come!

There are more models to come!

Also we have a dungeon demo track avaiable for download. Enjoy!

Void is suffering very slow progress. Main reason is that there are very little number of dedicated contributors, therefore we again humbly ask for any help with this great mod.

Yeah, that's really great stuff.

Tell me, when you release, will you make the objects accessible in the editor for others to make new stuff with?

What lovely modelling! It really captures the essence of these wooden structures. I'd even say they were better than most of the models in the original game :D .

Those models where made by; Megumi SAWADA at 3D CHAYA. He has given them out freely.. At least give him the the credit and say you Re-textured the models MADE BY; Megumi SAWADA..

Please, us modelers work hard and it would be nice if we can be given credit for the hours of work put into our work..Told Megumi he would not get anything from it.. This proves it...

So these aren't credited correctly? That is truly pathetic. It is the job of the mod team to accurately credit people :)

Of course those models are 3dchayas. We never stated that 3dchaya's models are our own property. As is written in those pictures - those models are only RETEXTURED, not made by us.
And pay attention to the news - the news that was announced before this one clearly says " We have also joined forces with Akavir team to bring as many 3dchaya models as possible in game. We will also share our content between teams. Texturing those 3dchaya models is our main goal now. "
But you are right, I should have credited those models earlier (I thought I did that already :( ).
And if someone says (as it was several times) that we created such beatiful models - I am the first person to say 3dchaya created them, not us.
Most warm regards and thanks for pointing this matter out. I also want to express my apologies.

I am sorry if I missed the "earlier" news about your credits, but your comments here prove your "good intentions" and I thank
you for pointing it out.. Good show .....I look forward to seeing your mod's final stages..
I also was thinking of retexing 3dChayas models but you guys are doing a "bang up job". If you need anymore models let me know, I have over 400
of them... seeing as you are up front about the credits, I will offer some of them to you to "help" out this good looking endevour...
If I had Oblivion I would also do some modelling for you...
Just finished a fully animated "Guillotine", for some modder to use in some mod somewhere....

Greetings, it’s the Void Master, originally in charge of the Void but forced into early retirement by University.
I would like to say first and foremost an apology to - when looking for inspiration for our project, modelling a Japanese feudal world in Elder Scrolls Oblivion we came across those models and were inspired by the level of skill and craftsmanship displayed. In order to give our mod a significant boost in productivity we decided to use those models to further the project.
However we have received annoyance from modders that we haven’t displayed credit where it is due and we would like to fix this problem as quickly as possible. In all further announcements of the Void we will display where these models originated and will give the original author full credit for the magnificent work done.
Once more I would like to personally apologize to anyone offended by the lack of credit given to and say that the Void has never wished to represent the work of other people as their own.
Any further complaints can be sent to or (Mirrored, one of the present leaders)

Void Master (Ingram Blakelock) of the Void project.

Note from Mirrored: My comment was not a "show" - we really care about things to be set right. As I am present leader of the Void I take full responsibility for this incident - all the flames go at me. I again apologise.
Most warm regards for anyone.
