Victoria II: Kaisererich - V0.5 BETA

Which means, sadly, not near as many new events and decisions have joined the ranks of the game like in 0.4, but what's important is many broken features of the game now work and Kaiserreich is starting to feel like a completed mod, though there is still leap and bounds to be made for events and decisions, which now total over 125 combined, but will be aimed at something closer to the 500 mark if not beyond, for the final release.

Importantly, a lot of effort was poured into technology for this iteration which is now completely finished, aside from inventions and pictures which are largely not a priority.

And in doing so, I also ask that you forgive the apparent imbalance of units in Kaiserreich, I have addressed this slightly in 0.5 - but the original Victoria II combat system is not really balance either, and I am aiming for something that will involve a lot more INTENSE and TOUGH combat! To keep you immersed in some of the greater wars, where everything is at stake!

Also, something else to note is that all naval units have been completed and added to the game still pending balancing and such, but this is a major milestone none the less.

On the historical front, there are several new historical nations as I stated and also the process of deploying historical units and leaders as been initiated, with the British, German and Japanese fleets being exact replicas of what I believe they would have been at the end of the war. (So including many famous historical ships!). This also comes along with the introduction of historical commanders such as Douglas Haig, Luddendorf or Reinhard Schneer amongst others, to add to the historical feel of the mod.

What next then? Well, the biggest task still left to address is probably the adjusting of the world's starting population, though this remains a low priority. A bigger objective however is the inclusion of more events and decisions to a wider variety of countries, to leave the player with a better experience over all. The introduction of new political decisions is also on the agenda for 0.6/0.7, with the ability to change rules on climate change, immigration etc a possibility.

I'd also like to thank CptObviousKyle for making his mod review on YouTube, it's impressive to know people appreciate the mod in it's Post-Alpha state. (Check out his video below, and yes, I am Crape101 in the comments if anyone saw me!)

Enough typing though, although I have faith there will be some changes before tomorrow's or Saturday's release, I will disclose a full copy of the changelog as it currently stands below:

Again, thank you for playing! Suggestions, criticisms and marketing (Through YouTube etc) are all greatly appreciated and I hope you enjoy a more balanced 0.5 upon its release.

Gott mit uns!
